"Who was your first kiss?" Ares asked very seriously and my face started reddening.
"I. . . haven't been kissed. Yet." I looked away as I didn't have the courage to meet his eyes and admit this.
"Why not?"
Why was he asking me this?
"You obviously k...

I can't believe I just finished this book! I seriously thought only one person would read this but you proved me wrong!
I know that you guys are confused as to what Alex is regarding if she was human or not, there's actually one subtle hint, but I'll let you guys decide! I'm really curious though, what do you think she is?
Edit: I wrote Alex as a hybrid since I thought it would make things more interesting 🤷♀️
I'm really excited to say that. . . drum roll please. . . I'm planning a sequel called Enemy Queen! It will be about Claire, Ares's little sister, and the story will reveal more of Troy's past.
FUN FACTS about AlphaQueen:
1. Alex was almost a werewolf
2. Claire wasn't a planned character but she's my favorite❤️
3. Ares was almost named Jaxon
4. The setting is somewhere in the northern Maine (US) wilderness although it's never mentioned
5. Taylor Swift songs, long car rides and my backyard inspired this book
6. I had no idea who to pick to play Ares but finally decided when I saw Star-Crossed on Netflix. Also Matt Lanter is 😍
7. It took 52 days to write this book. And I couldn't have done it without my beautiful fans. I love you guys ♡
Edit: it took 52 days to write the first half of the book and what I thought would be the end. . . but it actually took an extra 2 years to write the second half 🙈. I definitely felt more inspired when I was 16 versus 26.
8. Not sure if anyone noticed but the book starts in 1999 which is why there aren't any smartphones and why the dates on the tombstones are a little off.
9. I changed Alex's age from 16 to 18 which is why some of y'all might be confused (you aren't going crazy I promise). I was adamant on keeping her at 16 since it was the age that I first began this book but realized it's messed up having a minor end up with a 22 year-old man. . . yeah not the best look.
10. Looking back on what I'd written when I was in high school was rough. It almost feels as if another person had written the first half of the book. I went back in and edited some of the chapters but couldn't help cringe at some parts.
It has been quite a journey writing this book. It was the first one I ever wrote on Wattpad and the one that started the series.
By the way, who was your favorite character? Who was your least favorite character?
I APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK, GOOD OR BAD.
