A long time ago in a small cottage lived a girl and her mother. The mother believed in two things, Angels and the red string of fate. The daughter however believed in nothing. The daughter never said a single word or ever cried yet she understood what other's told her. She had apple red eyes and long black hair. The mother was never worried in the slightest since she had a feeling that her daughter was part of something special. One day the mother went to visit a nearby village since a plague had hit it and she planned on bringing medicinal herbs. When she went back home she discovered that she too had caught the illness. The daughter tried her best too heal her mother but it was of no use and the mother died. For the first time in her entire life the girls voice spilled out and she cried. Her cries sounded that of a melody drifting through the wind. The next day while burying her mother by a tree a beautiful red butterfly that had wings that shimmered like ruby's flew by her. She was engulfed in it's beauty and followed it. It led her to a meadow and when she stepped inside thousands of ruby red butterfly's took flight surrounding her. She sang a melody full of happiness and grief as she played with the butterfly's feeling as though she could take flight as well. She played until sunset and the next day when she went back to the same meadow all she found were a pair of wings which crumbled in her hands and her eyes began to sparkle like that of a apple red ruby. A year later she walked into the village that had plagued her mother, with her she carried a basket of medicinal herbs. While visiting the a sickened house hold she stumbled onto a little boy weeping. He told her of his sick mother and how she wouldn't seem to get better. The daughter felt bad for this boy and went to his house with him and decided to sing her soft butterfly melody. The melody drifted through out the village and the next day who ever heard the girl's melody was cured of all their ailments. Finding out her special talent she decided to travel to each town singing her soft healing melody and healing all sick and wounded. The girl was later known for her melody and her ruby eyes. One day the king called upon her and requested that she sing her melody in order to heal him of his sickness. After being healed the king demanded that she marry his son, the prince. The girl how ever didn't want to be held down in the castle and ran away. She continued to heal as many villages as she could until the palace guards quickly captured her and brought her to the prince. She was disgusted when she met the selfish prince who always got what he wanted and who only saw her as an item and not a person. She didn't want to allow the prince to get everything he wanted and on their wedding day, she killed herself. The legends say that the girl was reincarnated as an angel and continued singing to the ill. Legends say that she is now able to fly with her own pair of ruby red wings. But for all we know legends are just legends.
