~cat above is Lightningkit
Branches rattled outside the nursery. Wind was howling and ripping leaves from the trees making them bare and thunder made the sky shake.
A large muscular tom shoved his way through the nursery entrance and padded cautiously up to a she-cat who was cuddled up snuggly at the back of the den.
"How are you doing Flowepool?" the tom asked, licking the she-cat on the cheek.
"I'm fine Bearnose." Flowerpool meowed. "But I feel like the wind is going to rip the top off the nursery!"
Bearnose purred and glanced down at the squirming Kira that were curled up in the curve of Flowerpool's belly.
"Such strong kits we have." Bearnose purred. "Do you have any names picked out?"
"I want to name the brown tom Windkit. And the yellow she-cat Lightningkit. And for the greg and yellow she-cat, Thunderkit." Flowerpool answered happily.
"Those are beautiful names dear." Bearnose purred. "Are you hungry? Rembember, you need to keep your strengths up. You ha e three kits to feed now." he reminded.
"Actually, I am feeling kind of hungry." Flowerpool meowed.
"I'll go check and see if there's anything on the fresh kill pile that hasn't been blown away." Bearnose chuckled as he padded out of the den.
He padded over to the fresh kill pile and was surprised to see a freshly killed thrush on top of the pile. Perfect. He grabbed the thrush and turned to pad back to the nursery but was blinded by a flash of lightning that struck down onto the nursery. Thunder immediately followed the flash, then all was silent.
"Flowerpool!" Bearnose shrieked. He dropped his thrush and raced inside of the den. He shoved his way inside of the soggy den. "Flowerpool! Are you..."
His question was cut off by Flowerpool's sickening shriek.
"The kits! They've stopped breathing!"
