Chapter 7

You know those days when the world seems like it's against you. One minute I feel like it's the end of the world and the next I feel like everything amazing, and I couldn't be any happier, emotions you need to get some control.
One of the hardest lessons in life is letting go. Whether it's loss, betrayal, guilt, anger, love. Forgiving is never easy. Trust me I  know. So should I forgive the man who is sitting across from me at the dinner table?

"Carol? You there."

I jump startled at someone interrupting my train of thoughts.

"Oh, I'm sorry , what did you say?" I replied while looking at my father in disgust. How dare he act like everything is fine and didn't hook up with so skank. My mom didn't deserve this, I didn't deserve, and especially not  Jailey. She need her father to watch her grow old, and to become a independent, beautiful woman.

"Caroline are you okay?" My dad looked at me with concerned while putting his fork down.

I couldn't take it anymore , I couldn't pretend like everything was ok, and that we're such a perfect , happy family, because we're not and I don't think will ever be.

"Y-yea. Umm, I have some uh studying to do, I'll catch up with you guys tonight." Placing down my fork, and collecting my dishes.

"Wait, are you coming down for sundaes later?" Jailey asked me.

"Uh yea sure." I lied.

But Jailey knows me all to well, she don't by it, argh.

I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Goodnight."

"I'm so sorry pixie, I wish that I could keep my big mouth shut sometimes, but my brain does not agree with me."

"It's fine , I'm glad you told me instead of knowing and seeing my family break piece by piece. But then again maybe, just maybe it's needs to be a little broken right. Like maybe it can helps us-well people communicate better. As dumb as that sounds. Do you get what I'm saying? I know I sound crazy."

Aiden looks at me, like he trying to figure me out piece by piece. But knowing that it' won't work out to well I look down at me hands and play with my fingers.

"Do you want come with me?"

"What? How dare you ask me something so dumb when I'm sitting here hurting. Get the fuck out."

He laughed. Which I don't see what could be so funny.

I rolled my eyes.

"Let me be your salvation." Aiden said

"I mean to get away from your problems.

"Ok."
