Colleens POV
Josh and I have been dating for about a year, and I've never been happier. He's such a gentlemen, he's hilarious, and he knows how to cheer me up.
The downside is, he lives in New York, and I live in LA. So that means I never get to see him. I haven't seen Josh for a month and my heart aches. I miss the way he kissed my lips. I miss the way we cuddled, and I miss how we used to dance in the rain. We only talk through FaceTime and on the phone.
My computer rings. And it's Josh wanting to video chat. I wipe my tears and press answer. His face pops up on the screen and I smile.
"Hey baby!" He says
"Hey." I say back
"I miss you!" He says with a smile.
"Miss you to."
"Colleen, what's wrong?"
"I-I just miss you so much."
"I know, I miss you too. We will visit soon."
"You said that 2 months ago Joshua"
"I know I did, I'm sorry I'm so busy. I gotta go, I'll talk to you later."
"Oh, ok. Love you bye"
I shut off the computer and sat there in tears.
Josh's POV
My heart aches with sadness. I haven't seen Colleen in a while, and my world is crashing. I am just a lost southern boy here in the big city.
After getting off FaceTime with Colleen, I feel like we can't do this anymore. I can't break up with her though. She will be heartbroken, and so will I. I just don't know what to do..
I get my phone and text Colleen.
"Colleen. I'm so sorry that I can't be there with you. I'm trying everything I can to get money and move to LA. I need you in my life. without you, my life is boring. I honestly love you with all my heart and I can't loose you. You mean so much to me."
She instantly writes back.
"It's ok baby. I understand how hard it is there. I like you so so so much and I can't wait to see you again❤️"
It warms my heart knowing she still cares.
I go out on the street for a walk, and I call a cab to take me to Taco Bell.
I get the usual, and walk back to my apartment.
I call my bestfriend, Charlie, who just recently moved out to LA.
"Hey bud." Charlie says picking up the phone."
"Hey Charlie, can you go over to colleens, but before can you get her some flowers and a card for her?"
"Yeah anything for you man."
"Thanks Charlie, I knew I could count on you." I hang up and head to the shower. I'm having mixed feelings about Colleen..
