A Breakfast at Tiffany’s Style Romance

A/N: For the anon who suggested the Breakfast at Tiffany’s prompt. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is one of my favourite films so I thought id take a crack at it.

Tom Hiddleston, a 25 year old actor with black curly hair and blue green eyes moves to New York to try and break into the film/ theatre industry as an actor. When he’s moving in to his flat he meets Charlotte (Charlie) Rhodes, a kooky 21 year old woman and Broadway actress who is also his neighbour. Will a romance blossom between the two or will they just remain friends?

Chapter 1:

Tom couldn’t believe he was here. He’d always wanted to come toNew Yorkever since he was a little kid and watched all those movies set here. This was also one of the reasons he wanted to be an actor.

Some would have saidLondonwas the place, which it wasn’t in his opinion; he soon got bored of the place, especially when nothing was going his way. What made Tom think he would breakNew Yorkwhen he couldn’t breakLondonhe had no idea, he just knew he had to try.

As the taxi drove over theBrooklynBridgehe took in all the beautiful surroundings.New Yorkin all it’s finery. He checked in his pocket for his keys but found they weren’t there. ' Shit' he cursed under his breath. He’d have to make a phone call when he got to his new apparentment to ask for the keys.

The yellow taxi cab soon pulled up outside a block of brownstone apartment flats on East 71st street. He paid and thanked the driver before getting his suitcases out of the boot, straightening his leather jacket, removing his black raybans to the top of his head and walking up the steps to the apparentment building with the dark green door.

He buzzed any random flat he could, he needed to get into the flat and use someone’s phone to collect his keys. He soon got buzzed in and made his way up the many stairs to the apartment of the person who let him in.

Tom knocked on the door. He could hear someone padding around inside. He knocked again. A woman with brown hair to her shoulders answered the door a few minutes later dressed in leopard print pajamers and slippers. Tom couldn’t help but notice how cute she looked.

Charlie stood in awe at the man standing at her door. She mentally cursed herself for letting anyone see her in her pajamers, let alone a handsome stanger. She couldn’t help but take in his appearance, dressed in a white t shirt, black leather jacket, a pair of well fitted dark blue jeans and worn cowboy boots, black sunglasses atop of his black curls.

She smiled clearing her throat.

“Erm good morning, how can I help you?” she asked.

“Err hi, Thankyou for buzzing me in, I’ve just moved in upstairs, atleast I will be when I get my keys through, I wondered if I could use your phone?”

“Yeah…sure…no problem. Come in” Charlie opened the door a little wider to allow the handsome stranger into her flat.

Tom walked into the flat placing his suitcases on the wooden floor by the door, his black leather jacket on top.

The flat was open plan, a modern dayNew Yorkapartment. As Tom walked in he was greeted with a living room which included a leather sofa and a black flat screen TV, a round table in the middle of the room and cupboards to the side of that and a hallway which he assumed led to her bedroom and bathroom to his right.

He stared in awe. It was lovely. He only hoped his flat upstairs was as nice as this.

Suddenly a blondeLabradorcame running out from down the hall from the room Tom assumed to be the young woman’s bedroom. He knelt down and stroked him playing with his ears.
