"I'm going to go search for the others. Jaune said he found some footsteps in the sand before we ran away, and I'm going to follow them." Blake sniffed, pointing towards the faded mark of singed trees.
"Right, Yang's semblance probably saved her at least, and she may have rescued Pyrrha and Ren in the fire!" Nora yelled, jumping up to grab a roll of duct tape. "Jaune, did you find a knife or some scissors?"
"Good thinking, and yes I did. I'll cut the duct tape on the trees to make a path back to where we set up camp." Jaune said, his mind quickly processing the situation at hand.
"I'm glad to have your support guys." Blake said, wiping her eyes, smiling for the first time in hours.
"Let's get moving!" Nora shouted, sprinting over to where the singed trees were.
The three moved in and out of the trees, making sure to mark a pathway back to their encampment. Blake with her Faunus vision easily spotted the singed trees, even to the point where she could see the faint lining of Yang's hair still on some of the trees.
"Guys, can we head back? I'm getting tired." Nora complained, having to be held up for the past few minutes.
"Good call, we can continue this tomorrow. Except for one thing, remember when we agreed to bring our sleeping blankets and enough food for a few days? We don't need to head back, we can just sleep here!" Jaune said, reminding the two girls about the crucial part of their plan.
"Thanks Jaune, I knew you would be useful." Nora said before falling unconscious on her blanket, the other two soon to follow.
