Candra finished her look with her high heel stilettos. She's wearing black designer's satin dress complementing her white skin and sexy body. She is going on a date with Collins who is persistently wooing her. She gave her a chance since its been a year he started asking for a date.
"WOW. You look wonderful baby. Never I imagined I would have this chance to be with you honey." Collins said.
"Thanks for your compliment Collins. Remember that I need to be at home by 10." Candra replied.
"Ok. I understand. Let's go babe." Collins added.
They went to Shangrila hotel and had early dinner.
"Lets go to my place Candra. I hope you wont mind. I just wanted to show you this new flat I just bought. I think I would need your opinion on my interior.". Collins asked.
"Hmm.. I think I would love too but its really late. Maybe we could just watch a movie." Candra said.
"I wont mind Candra. As long as I'm with you. So lets go. While we still have time to do so." Collins responded.
They finished watching a movie. They are on their way to Candra's home.
"Thanks for this night Candra. I'm really happy." Collins said.
"I'm sorry Collins but I think this would be the first and last time we will go out on a date. I am so sorry but you see I can just treat you as a brother or might as well a best friend. Dont get me wrong you are nice. But I just cant feel extra special about you. I hope you understand Collins. She replied in a sad tone.
"So this is it Candra. After all those times I tried. This is what I got. Its alright then. Goodbye."
Collins parted and drove his car away.
Sandra opened the door for her daughter.
"Candra I've heard your conversation with Collins. I dont mean to intrude hija, Collins is an awesome guy. He came from well off family as well. Why dont you give him a chance to win your heart." Sandra asked
"Mom, I dunno. But the clear thing is I havent feel anything for him. He's not my type Mom." Candra replied.
"Alright. That's your decision. You're not getting any younger Candra." Sandra added.
"Mom, I'm just 25 years old for Pete sake." Candra answered.
"That of your age honey I already have you by two years old. What age you would like to settle down hija? You are my only daughter and I wanted you to have a good married life. I'm so much excited having grandchildren from yours." Sandra added.
"Whatever mommy. I'll go upstairs. Im dead tired." Candra replied with a weary voice.
The next morning Candra havent seen Collins anywhere. Only to find out that he resigned from the company.
"Hey daddy, good morning. I am actually thinking of going somewhere this christmas holidays and I'm planning to go somewhere I werent been to. Can I have a week or 2 weeks vacation daddy?" Candra asked.
"Of course, hija. You've been working much lately. Just always be take care and dont forget to tell your mom about this vacation." Zandro replied.
Candra is on her way to the airport. She wanted to free herself from thinking. She wanted to find inner peace. She dont know what's wrong but lately she found herself alone. She got all the attention from guys. Even a lot of male employees from different departments are asking to go out with her. She needed time to compose herself. Maybe she was thinking that its her fault why she lost her brother. Its been a year yet it tugged her heart. Her brother died on a car accident. It was late that night and she needed a service. His brother petch him to a company's christmas party. On their way home they met an accident. It almost lost her life too. She's been in coma for 2weeks. She woke up his brother was already been cramated. She almost asked to be in coma again. She cant accept the sad truth. Her brother was everything to him. He is the only brother he had. He was his brother, his confidant and his only bestfriend. Sandra and Zandro never blamed her for that incident. But herself alone. How she wish to turn back that time and have his only brother back. She lost the ability to be happy since then. She worked and worked hard for her family's company. She managed it well. But she forget herself. Only now that she wanted to search for that old self she had. A woman who is happy and cheerful.
