Death!
No matter where I go death always seems to follow. I don't know if it's the witches why of punishing me or the fates way of protecting me.
I was 15 when my life took a left turn to hell, I'm 17 now and still finding this whole thing a bit trippy.

DREAM
"How do you do it you cheater?"
I giggle as my mom accuses me of cheating at arm wrestling.
"Must be our little moon princess' supernatural nighttime strength that kicked in," my dad winked.
He always tells me that I'm a rare gift bestowed upon them from the moon goddess herself, that's why he calls me his moon princess. I never thought anything special of it tho, every father think of his daughter as a gift.
"Ow mum don't be such a sore loser, you guys are just jelly cause I got mad skills and muscles the size of mountains." My mum bursts out laughing at my statement.
If you haven't noticed yet my family, we're closer than other families.
My mum isn't just my mum, shes my role model and my dad he doubles as my dad slash best friend.
"Hunny maybe you should pick up your ego before someone steps on it," she counters with the amile never leaving her aged yet beautiful face.
Evrything was as it should be until suddenly there was a loud bang at the front door.
"Open this door! You can't hide the child from him! He knows what she is and he wants her!" a husky male voice shouts.
"Mummy, daddy who is that? What does he want? What is he talking about?" my voice lost all of it's confidence and instead sounded scared.
"Sweety listen to me, everything is gonna be okay. We prepared for this remeber?" I nodded not trusting my voice.
"Now go to your room, lock the door, move your desk infront of your door then hide in the closet okay?" my mom hugged me tight with tears in her eyes.
"Rember little moon princess we love you and we'll always be with you, no matter what," my dad kissed my forehead as the banging on the door got louder and louder.
"Now go," mum puches me foreward.
I start running up the srairs to my room.
Tears clouding my vision as I lock my room and move the desk. Hiding in my closet I finally let all the tears and sobs I've been keeping in run freely down my cheeks. I know what that was. That wasn't just my parents' way of saying see you soon, it was a good bye. They aren't gonna make it and the knew it.

My thoughts were interrupted by the load shrieks of my mum. I could hear everything. Mum and dad yelling, crying, yelping, footsteps and struggling. Until suddenly there was nothing.
I got out of the closet and made my way down stairs. Oh what a big mistake that was.
In the living room lay my mums dead body. Her eyes drained of all live and her throat ripped out, they only colour left on her skin was her own blood. As my eyes trail along her unmoving body I see her hand connected to my dads. His eyes was closed but his chest was covered in scratches and bite marks.
'Creek' I hear the floorboards making it known that the intruder was still in the house.
I spin around fast enough for it to make me dizzy just to be met with soulless black eyes with veins surrounding it. The demon like creature runs at me barring its fangs.

Dream over

I wake breathing heavily with sweat dripping from my face.
It's been two year yet those eyes that resembles a black hole still haunt my dreams.
"Hey kiddo, are you alright?" my aunt Denise questions me. You see after my parents died I moved in with my aunt. She's crazy, wild and a kid at heart, that's what makes her so fun. She gets me and I've loved living with my aunt, she helped me through my parents death and has never left my side since then. She even knows about my wierd dreams more like memories that haunt me forcing me to relive that moment over-and-over again.

"Yeah just the nightmare again," I say staring out of my window as we pasd the 'Welcome to  Mystic Falls' sign.

"Don't worry sweetheart you'll be okay, I promise." Little did she know leaving me with my distant relatives here in Mystic Falls will be the cause of her breaking her promise.
