If you have a classroom of kids who don't care about what you're teaching, why would you teach sex ed, a class you'll literally need in your life to a bunch of angsty teenagers in the middle of their high school years?
And abstinence is proven to not work by the growing teenage pregnancies.
Instead, they should be teaching these things in like middle school when people might actually listen. Don't tell a teenager not to do something because you can leave it to them to do it to prove themselves. Teach them how to protect themselves just in case. Teach them how to be safe.
That includes gay teens because seriously, a lot of gay teens think they're hotter shit than straight teens.
You want safe teens not teens who are hurting because they wanted to rebel.
