Joey's Birthday

"Oi, Joey. I didn't say it earlier, but happy birthday." I say. It's actually Jack. He and Tyrone have to talk through my mouth cause they don't have mouths of their own. "Yes, happy birthday Joey." Tyrone says. "Thanks. I guess you too. Cause we're in the same body? I don't know." "No, we demons have lived long enough to where birthdays loose all meaning." "And we're not really born, more like created from demonic matter." "Ok enough talking, we're heading into a public area." I finish. They make no more noise. I look over at Serena. She's staring at me with amusement. "What?" I ask. "It's always fun to watch you have conversations with yourself."  She says. "Technically it's not with myself it's with the demons in my head." "Yeah, yeah. Come on. Let's go to The Cats Oven." "Why are we going to Midnight's bakery?" "You'll see." We head in that direction. Eventually we get to Midnight's. I open the door for Serena. "Thanks." She walks in, and I follow. "Ok, so why are we here? And where is Midnight?" I ask. I don't see her in cat form or human form. "Come on." Serena says heading to the back. "Serena we're not supposed to go back there." I say, but follow anyways. I head into the back room. It looks like a typical break room. A table, a tv, some stuff in storage. I walk in and smell a large amount of people. I can't distinguish them separately. It's as if s bunch of people are mixed into one. One of the boxes starts to shake. I look around, and see that Serena is gone. I look back at the box. It's still shaking, so I walk over to open it. It looks like it could fit me. As I get close it tips over and the top opens, out from the top comes a pair of snakes, on grey the other blue, a white cat, a big blue dog, a black owl, a bat, an endermite (a parasitic worm from the End, about a foot long, and pretty fat), a big butterfly, a huge spider, a yellow chicken, a grizzly bear cub, a purple rabbit, and a fox. "Goodness gracious! There's a whole zoo in here!" I say, taking a step back. One at a time the animals begin to convulse. The grey snake turns into my friend Carly, the blue one turns into Polly, the cat turns into Midnight, the dog turns into Serena, the owl turns into John, the endermite turns into my dad, the butterfly turns into Kendra Sorenson, the spider turns into her brother Seth, the bat turns into Charlotte, the chicken turns into a yellow ghost, the rabbit turns into a purple ghost, the bear turns into a brown ghost, and the fox turns into a red ghost. "Happy birthday!" Everyone shouts. The whole ordeal takes about 30 seconds. I start laughing. "How.. How did the ones who aren't half animal, change into an animal?" I ask. I'm talking about Serena, John, dad, and the Sorensons. The other four can change into the animal they are mixed with. A cat for were cat, a snake for gorgon, and a bat for a vampire. The ghosts can do whatever they want with their ghostly forms. "Potions. John brewed up some potions to turn us into an animal of our choice one time." Serena says. "Ok. I see. Well, dad, an endermite? Seriously?" I say. "It was the only animal from the End other than the Ender Dragon." He says. I nod. "Well thank you for the wonderful surprise. I love you all." I say. Serena runs off and brings back a big cake. It says Happy Birthday Joey. We cut into the cake and eat it together. Everyone has a present for me. The pair of gorgons give me an amulet. "It will leave you immune to any affects from the eyes of a gorgon." Polly says. Seth got me a knapsack. "If you open it there is a lot more room than there is outside. A whole storage room. You could stock it with food, and you could live in there for a quite a while." He explains. "Cool!" I say. Kendra got me a sack of dust. "It will heal any wound. Any at all. Use it wisely." She says. John got me a big sword. "It's made from endorium, but has obsidian on the tip to help penetrate better. I made it myself." He says. Dad gives me an orb. "It's a future orb. It doesn't work right now, but it's said to show you any future. You will have to figure it out. I know I couldn't." He says. Even broken this thing is valuable. Midnight gets me a pair of iron knuckles, they have claws sticking off of them. "Iron claws." She says, "To help you fight." I thank her. Charlotte gets me a vial of red liquid. "It's my blood. It can be used as a deadly poison to lace your weapons with." She says. I nod a thanks at her. "Thank you all so much. This was great. Thanks for the amazing birthday." I say.
