My misterious neighbour

Prologue

My name is Tachibana Makoto, I am a 16 years old boy. I have a neighbour, his name is Haru. Haru is a small boy that has a black hair and really beautifull ocean like eyes. When you see his eyes, you will see an ocean sensation and you will see the calm feelings inside it. Like you will never get bored to see that pretty eyes.

Haru is always calm. Very calm. From the first time i know him, i've never see his smile. It's very rare to see him smile. About haru's family, i did'nt know it too much. The only thing i know is that Haru's parents divorced when he was still really small. Maybe um-- when he was still 6 years old?

Haru's mother works at the outside of the town. So, she rarely can visit Haru here, at Iwatobi. Haru often go to my house because i invited him to. I have  responsibilities to watch him everday.

His family condition is bad, but he never cried once. He is such a strong boy. But, i know.. I know that his feelings are fake. I know there is something hidden inside those blue ocean eyes. Something that he can't show it to a strangers.

I know it.

"Finally school is over!!" I said.

I was walking on my way home, and i see Haru.
"Ah! Haru - chan? I will greet him!" i thought.

But, wait...

What is he doing in front of a toy store over there? What is he staring at?

"Haru - chan!" I poked him.
"Ma-makoto!? Wha-what are you doing here?" Haru said that to me with his suprised face.
"That was what i supposed to say to you, what are you looking at?Wanna go in with me?" I asked him with my biggest smile.

"No.. Don't need to.." He said
"Dont be shy to me! Let's go!"

I grabbed his hand and went to the toy store with him.

"Now, tell me what are you looking at,Haru - chan?"

Haru did'nt say anything and went straight to the doll corner.
I suprised at first,
Really? I thought he would go to the car corner like the other boys do.

Haru grabbed a white doll and stare it.
"Hm, what is that, Haru? Baby seal?"

Haru nodded.

"You want that?" I asked him

Haru nodded once again.

"But, i dont even have money to buy it.." He said.

I patted his head and smiled.
"Don't worry, i will buy it for you!" I said.
"Re-really, Makoto?"
"Yes! I will give it on your birthday!" I patted his head once again.
"You remember my birthday?" He asked me
"Of course! It's on the 30th of June right? Of course i know!"

There was a silence at that moment. And suddenly, he gave me an expression that i've never seen for a long time.
Yes, he smiled.

"Thank you, Makoto. I really appreciate that. I'm very happy." Haru smiled.

That smile is just so adorable. Even it is cuter than the other girls in my class.

I like Haru. I adore him so much. Even tough we are both male,even tough he is younger than me.. I don't care. I've loved him for a very long time.

"Nn! Don't worry, we are friends after all! Right,Haru - chan?" I smiled
"I told you to drop the 'chan'..." Haru blushed and went out from the store.

"Ah, let me see the price first." I said
I grabbed the price tag and saw the price.

"Damn, 3500 yen?!"
