Memories repeat - Fauchereve X Reader

The beginning

A/N: In the story there are things like Y/N, Y/A, or Y/G. Y/N means to insert your name, Y/A means insert your age, and Y/G means insert your gender. So whenever you see Y/G it would be words like his/hers, he/she, and so on. I hope you enjoy, this is my first X Reader story :P. *Your POV*

It had been a long, tiring day adventuring and exploring. Y/N had been running around, looking for and documenting magical and mythical creatures in Y/G notebook. When Y/N finally got back to their house, they sighed and sat down on the sofa(or couch) and put their feet up on the armrest at the side.

Y/N thought Y/G saw something move in the mirror. You narrowed your eyes at it and looked closer. After a few minutes you shrugged and just dismissed the incident. It was probably just your imagination. You sighed and went to bed. As you lay down on the bed and started to close your eyes, you saw something come out of the mirror. Y/N's eyes widens as the creature comes towards them. The creature looked like their friend but something was off.....they were half consumed in shadows and one eye was a bright, unblinking white.... The creature smiled at them in a creepy way and spoke in am all too familiar voice. "Something wrong Captain?" It was at this moment you realised what the creature was, because it certainly wasn't your friend. The last time your friend called you Captain was when you were younger and and you were playing pirates. How long ago was that? How old were you now? Y/A? Y/N stared in horror and shock as the creature came towards you, a flash back forming from when one of your friends were talking about the creature you currently see before you. All of you laughed and called them crazy, you dismissed it as them having one of their weird moments. You never listened. A week later they were found in a coma in their room, their pulse faint. You all waited for them to wake up....but they never did. Days later they died, their corpse rotting away into nothingness.

As you snapped back to reality you looked up to see the creature above you, pushing you onto your back. They smiles and spoke in an oddly calm voice. "Ciao friend! You seem tired. Why don't you go to sleep, Ve~?" You blinked, not quite believing what you were seeing. It looked similar too, and sounded like your friend, only they wouldn't say "Ve~" as the phrase annoyed them, as they quite clearly told Feliciano before when he kept saying it. Much to Ludwig's annoyance, it ended up getting Feli a bloody nose as your friend had lost their temper and punched them. After that it had been fine, and then weeks later they had told you about this creature. "Something wrong friend?" The creature asked. Then it dawned on you. You had seen the signs in your last friend, them talking to a mirror as if in a conversation, them sleeping more and more, them going out of focus and randomly saying weird or creepy things, them telling you about the creature.....they had known all along..... You realised your friend knew that they were going to die, that's why they told you all, that's why they seemed desperate that you all realise what you were up against, that's why.....they told you the creature's name.

The creature known, as the Fauchereve.
