"La la la la la la lalaaaaa" I sang again, tonight was my school's Annual Talent Showcase and I signed up at the last minute. I'm going to be playing the violin to my current favorite song even though its old......Best Thing by Queen Bey. I had my sister, Aug & Selena here supporting me, which probably had something to do with me being uncontrolably nervous. I invited my parents but, of course they had a 'meeting' tonight. I'm not gonna sweat it though, everyone who genuinely cares about me is here.
"We will now have Aniyah Marshall on the violin" I froze in my spot.
'I can do this' I whispered to myself walking onto the stage.
"Hello um.....I'll be playing Best Thing by Beyonce on the violin I hope you enjoy" My hands started shaking as I began to play.....

"I'm sorry I can't do this" I ran off the stage violin in hand.
~August's P.o.v~
"I'm sorry I can't do this" Aniyah said running off of the stage
Aww babygirl was nervous. Anita got up about to walk to the back and I stopped her "Baybeh I got this" I stood up and she stopped me
"You sure?" I nodded pecking her lips.
"Imma be right back" I walked to the back of the stage and saw Niyah in the corner looking down at her mini guitar thing
"Aniyah wassup?" I took a seat right next to her and wrapped my arm around her neck.
She just shook her head as a tear fell down her face. I wiped it and gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm sure your going to be amazing. You gotta put on a brave face okay? Everyone out dea' cheering you on, don't walk away now. Your betta than that, you hea' me?"
"Yeah I'm nervous I just wanna make my sister proud, I feel like she's the only who actually cares about me"
"And you feel like the only way you can express yourself is through your music?"
She shook her head as I nodded, standing up I pull her right along with me "Make them hear you through your music, I feel nervous all the time when I perform in front of thousands of people. I close my eyes and think of my safe haven do the same, we're waiting on you babygirl. Oh and I care about you too" I hugged her and began to walk back to my seat..
"Hey Aug!" I turned on my heels and looked at her "Yes ma'am?"
"Thank you, I really needed that" nodding I replied "We all do sometimes" I continued back to my seat

"Thank you" I bowed and left the stage hearing the roaring, hooting and hollering.
Yo girl got a standing ovation 👏👏
"You did amazing Ny-Ny" Anita said giving me tight hug
"Yeah Niyah you did great" Selena hugged me and gave me a peck on the cheek.
"Thanks guys" I gave August a hug after he congratualted me
"Let's celebrate where you wanna go?" Aug said handing me a bouqet of roses
"Awwwww, thank you, their beautiful. Oh and thank you, without you I don't think I would've been able to perform out there so Thanks Aug" I took a whiff of the beautiful flowers
"Can we just order pizza? I'm tired"
We began to make our way to the car "Sure its whatever you want." Nita said as she opened the car door
I felt great but, if my parents were here I'd feel amazing. I guees there's always next time. My advice to you guys......"never ever take family for granted"
