" Hello Alex, how are you today? " A tall man with a long grey beard strolls into the room. He has blue - green eyes that sparkle when he talks. He is wearing a lab coat and I can't tell if he is a scientist or doctor. The most noticeable thing about him is his shallow voice. There is a gun on his hip which makes me uncomfortable.
He moves towards me. I lay down flat as he approaches and press my arms into the cold metal of the bed. He leans over me, like he is studying an animal in a cage. And I may as well be one. The same thing that made me unable to move before now binds me to the table.
"Welcome to the lab, Alex." His words are shallow, like he doesn't mean it and I know he doesn't."Why am I here? Who am I?"
Before I can take another breath he pulls out a syringe and plunges the needle into my arm. I feel my arms lose the grip on the bed and go limp. His eyes are wild, ferocious.
"See you in a little bit." He flashes a twisted smile. As he leaves I once again am pushed into the soothing darkness of sleep.
