CHAPTER 1

Present Day ...

I absolutely hate buses! Who wouldn't? They are disgusting and it's full of creepy people who talk to themselves and smell like rotting cheese. Like I said, gross. You're probably wondering why I'm even on a bus in the first place. Well let me tell you. It's because of my so called 'parents'.

After I shifted into a white wolf, my pack pretty much shunned me. I was friends with almost everyone, or at least got a long with most of them. But for the last three years everyone tried to avoid me, even my own parents! They cared what everyone else thought instead of how their daughter might feel. So when I started slipping on my grades at school or just not feel like going, they thought I was reaching out for attention and rebelling against them. Which wasn't the case at all, I was just sick of the whispers behind my back or the brave ones just calling me a freak to my face. So I tried avoiding all the bullshit, Hey, can you blame me?

My parents thought I'd do better at my aunts house in upstate Vermont. Yes you've got it, I left my town in Colorado to a smaller one in Vermont. They say it was for my own good, HA! I know it's only because they don't want their 'defective' daughter around. Eh it's ok, we were never that close anyway. So I'm on my way to my Aunt Meg's house. She knows about my condition and is still excited for me to stay with her. She's my moms younger sister. They were pretty close when they were younger but as they grew up my mom felt my aunt wasn't as mature as her. I just think it's because my aunt likes to have fun and my mom always has a stick up her ass. But that's just my opinion.

The bus driver just informed us we have 3 miles until our next stop, Which happens to be mine. Hopefully my aunt's there and she didn't forget. That would suck considering I don't know where I am and would have to walk to her house, in this freezing weather.

I see the station coming up so I grab my backpack and suitcase I brought with me, so I can book it off this disease infested trap on wheels. As it slows and comes to a full stop i jump up and rush out of there, I can hear the yelling and swearing of the other passengers I pumped into on my way off. All well bitches!  I grab the sides of my jacket and pull it closer as the fridged wind whips around me as I walk towards the group of people waiting for everyone to get off the bus.

At first I don't see my Aunt Meg so I start to get nervous thinking she really did forget about me. Until I see someone in the back of the crowd jumping up and down waving their arms.

"Abigail! Over here!"

oh jeez, she's the crazy one jumping?

"Abigail! Bitch I'm over here!!"

Yep, that's my aunt alright. I grab my stuff and start walking towards her. When she finally comes to view I realize how much I really did miss her. I haven;t seen my aunt in over 7 years. I was only 10. She used to put makeup on me when we were bored, and let me stay up way past my bed time. Drove my mom nuts. She looks almost exactly how she used too. Her hairs shorter, it used to be past her shoulders. Now it's a little past her ears, almost like a bob style. My mother and her always had bright blue eyes. Just like the color of the ocean on bright sunny day. I'm not sure where I got my green eyes from, my dads are brown.

"Hi Aunt Meg" I said when i finally got closer where she could hear me. Instead of answering me I just pulled into a hug, a very tight hug.

"Aunt Meg, I can't really breathe" I wheeze out. Damn that woman's strong. As she finally lets go, she puts me at arms length and looks me
