"Ben." Avi called out.
"Guys." He stood up. "Sit down."
We both sat down.
He paced around the room and gave us his phone.
The screen showed a picture of Avi kissing on my neck and smirking.
Avi went pale yet again.
"Please tell me this is a really well edited picture." He begged.
"I...we...him..." Avi tried to explain.
Ben put his hand on his head in frustration and sighed. "Was this like a one time thing or are you two dating?"
"We're dating." Avi mumbled, looking at his lap.
"You know how bad this is, right?" Ben asked.
"Yes." We said in unison.
Ben breathed out and sat down.
"Listen, you two are dating now but if you break up and can't make up, that'll be a disaster."
"Ben, we love each other." Avi said.
Avi took my hand and held it. I looked over and smiled at him.
Ben sighed and smiled. "Just. Please. Don't. Break. Up. Ya'll are too cute."
Avi smiled. "Thank you, Ben."
"No problem, Avi. I'm not gonna make you stop dating. What good would that do?" He stood up.
"Did you tell the others?" I asked.
"No, I didn't tell them. They should be coming soon." He looked at his watch.
"Oh." Avi said nervously.
"It'll be okay, Avi." I kissed the side of his head.
"But what if they don't accept us?" He panicked.
"They will." I reassured him.
Avi hid his face on the crock of my neck.
I wrapped my arms around him and whispered, "It'll all be okay."
He nodded against my neck.
The door burst open to reveal Kevin and Scott chatting about something.
Their attention diverted to us.
"Is everything alright?" Kevin asked.
Avi pulled away. "Yeah, everything is fine."
"Guess who's here!" Kirstie barged in.
She laughed at herself and sat down.
I look over to Avi and put my hand on his knee.
He looked over at me and his face said, 'I don't have the courage to do it.'
I nodded and stood up.
"Guys I have something to say." I spoke loudly.
Avi eyed them, waiting for their reaction.
I bit my lip. "Avi and I are dating."
Kirstie's mouth opened in shock.
Kevin sat there looking at Avi while Scott sat there smiling.
"I knew it!" Scott yelled.
Avi gasped. Y-you knew?"
"Well of course. I've known Mitch since I was eight. I know how he gets when his in love. Plus y'all have been going to each other's houses almost everyday." He stated.
"Oh..."
"How long have you two been dating?" Kevin finally spoke.
"Almost a year."
"How did I not know?" Kevin asked. "I live with you and I didn't know."
"I don't know Kev." Avi shrugged.
"Well, I'm happy for you guys." Kevin said.
"Me too! And you are so cute together!" Kirstie said.
I chuckled. "Thank you guys."
I looked over at Avi's face which had finally relaxed and said,
"I told you so."
I leaned in and gave Avi a kiss and he kissed back.
