I woke with a horrible headache, I grabbed my asprins and water and took the medicine. Last night was amazing, but I did have quite a bit too much to drink. I quickly stripped and took a shower and started picking out an outfit. A pair of loose jeans, a loose Star Wars shirt, and a baggy sweatshirt with a simple pair of black vans. I made sure to slip my glasses on my face. I grabbed an extra bag to put my normal clothes in along with my contacts, make-up and peircings. I walked downstairs, walked outside and remembered that my car was given the boot last night at the party. Great, I will just have to walk to school. I started walking and got there about ten minutes early so I snuck into the gym and left my bag in the locker room. I ran to my first class. Ms. Narwin was already there.

"Hi Maiziline." She said peppily.

"Mornin' Ms. Narwin. How are you doing?"

"Good what about yourself?"

"Good. How is little Carrie?" Carrie is her daughter who has downsyndrome, I babysit her from time to time.

"She's doing good but wondering where you are."

"I would love to come visit her."

"You are welcome anytime sweetie."

"Thank you." I said two seconds before the bell rang and people slowly started filling in the classroom.

I sat in my seat and got out my stuff for the class.

"Hey Ms. Narwin, how early did Nerd get here?"

"Who are you speaking about? Last I knew no one was named 'Nerd' in this class."

"The loser who always comes in this class first and never forgets her homework."

"Sorry Brittney, there are many people who come to class early and never forget their homework. I am still unaware of who you are speaking of. Today we are going to continue our lesson on the great depression."

Ms. Narwin knew the name the other students called me. I remember one day, she told me I needed to stand up for myself. I told her that the name didn't bother me, that the students, didn't bother me and well that was true. They've never truly ever bothered me.

Even when I was younger, the kids always picked on me because I was exremely short and very underwight, for kids my age. In seventh grade, I was picked on really bad, I had to go to the hospital so my parents took me away for a year, hoping that would help. While I was away, I learned a little on how to fight and stand up for myself but I never let anyone know that I could. I didn't let people's view of me change because believe it or not, I liked how things were. I liked the fact that I got to eat lunch alone and that people left me alone because talking to me was social suicide unless it was to insult me. I've enjoyed the silence and not having drama in my life and knowing that people could never stab me in the back.

"Okay class, we are going to stop there, please stay in your seats until the bell rings and finish reading the chapter tonight for homework." Ms. Narwin announced and let us talk and do our own little things. "Maiziline, may I talk to you?" I zipped up my bag and walked over to her.

"Yes Ms. Narwin?" I asked.

"I need your help with something. I have student in one of my other classes, he isn't doing so well and I was wondering if you would be willing to help him out and get some extra credit yourself."

"I would love to help out Ms. Narwin. I can meet him here after school today."

"Perfect, thank you so much and Maiziline, try standing up for yourself, they shouldn't treat you that way." She said.

"It's okay, I can handle them."

"Okay. If you ever need anything, I'm right here."

"Thank you." I said politely. Ms. Narwin is a very nice lady, I love her.
