The past days had been horrible. I got a zero on my math exam because Vanessa Jenkins, the most popular girl in the eighth grade, asked me the answer sixteen. I just started at her stunned that she would talk in the middle of the exam. Well, because of her stunt the teacher thought I was talking and gave me a zero. I told my dad and he is going to talk to my teacher. That's not even the worst of it though, I just found out that my crush is moving out of the country, forever. And he doesn't even know how I feel. And top of that my mom is in the hospital, with cancer, getting closer to death rather than life. Thinking about everything wrong with my life brought tears to my eyes. I cried for about an hour. I almost didn't hear my cell phone ring. I answered it without looking at caller ID first. I heard my dad on the line crying. I instantly knew it was mom. I hung up and rushed to the hospital.
I burst into my burst into my mom's room. My dad had his head in his hands I looked at mom, her eyes were half open, her heart barely beating. I ran over to get side grabbing her hand and and holding it tight. She looked at me, trying her best to hold back tears. She smiled at me before speaking for the last time.
"Jess, you are a special girl. I am happy to say I am your mother. Keep igniting people with your spark, never give up, and remember, just because I am not here doesn't mean that I'm not with you. Stay who you are. Don't let anyone, ever, tell you you aren't amazing. And especially don't change. Be you. I love you, good bye baby girl." My mom took her last breath and the heart rate monitor flat lined.
That's when my life collapsed.A/N
