PROLOGUE:
Mitch and Scott were best friends through the course of school and through the course of the Sing-off. But one day, Mitch felt a little more joy than usual when Scott entered the room, and Scott felt his heart race faster when the tenor stepped closer.
Present:
(Scott POV)
Mitch walked into the room I was sitting in and immediately turned on SpongeBob. He plopped into the couch, nearly crushing my foot. My heart beat a bit faster, but when I realized it, I was already staring at him. His perfect hair, his beautiful eyes, the laugh... Things like this made me smile. But as a whole, Mitch made my heart flutter. No words described the graceful motions.
"Hey Scott," Mitch said. "How long until we have to go rehearse?"
"Only a few hours," I say, poking him with my toe.
He squeals and starts tickling me. I decide to tickle him back... harder.
"HEY!!!!" Mitch shouts, laughing.
"Wasn't such a good idea now, hmm?" I say, quirking my eyebrows; falling off the couch, dying of laughter.
Mitch sticks his tongue out at me, leaning forward. I take the opportunity to jump up and wrap my arms around his waist and pull him into the clutches of the carpeted floor.
"HEY!!!!" Mitch squeals.
I start tickling him on his stomach, and me holding him down.
"Not so fun anymore,huh?" He says as he flips us over and starts tickling me.
"HEY!!!" I yell.
"PAYBACK'S A B**CH!!! Anyways, you started it," Mitch retorts.
He eases up on me allowing me to sit up, then he jumps on me, tickling my sides. Wyatt waltzed in, saw us rolling around, and instantly ran out; Mitch noticed him.
I stood up and picked Mitch up, and threw him on the couch. He just lays there staring at me, eyes wide to say HOW DARE YOU!!!
I give him a look that said MHMM! COME AT ME!
We end up just sitting on the couch again, talking, acting like none of that happened. Still, my heart beats fast for him.
