Kyouka pressed one of her earphone jacks against the wall and closed her eyes.

The others remained silent behind her, which was probably the first time Kaminari, Mina and Mineta had managed to accomplish that for longer than thirty seconds. After everything they'd gone through to reach this floor, none of them wanted to screw it up now.

Especially when the control room was right on the other side.

Kyouka concentrated on the vibrations traveling through the wall. There were too many sounds at first, computers humming, fans spinning, the occasional electronic beep and several voices talking over one another. She slowly separated them until she could tell where everyone was.

"Five." Kyouka whispered.

Midoriya crouched beside her. "Five villains?"

"Four villains. One other person." Kyouka moved her jack slightly. "I think she's one of the employees. They're making her work on something."

"Then she's probably the technician they forced to take control of the security system." Yaoyorozu said.

Kyouka nodded before listening again. One of the men was walking back and forth near the center of the room. Two others were standing near the entrance. The last one hadn't moved much at all, which either meant he was sitting down or happened to be really good at standing still.

The woman was typing.

"...override..."

Kyouka pressed harder against the wall.

"Can you hear what they're saying?" Midoriya asked.

"Shh."

"...told you already, I can't disengage the emergency protocols without..."

The voice became muffled and another voice answered.

"...don't care. Find a way."

Kyouka pulled her jack away. "They still need the technician for something."

"Can she disable the security system?" Uraraka asked.

"Probably, assuming we get the villains away from her." That was the problem. Getting here had been difficult enough. They had already separated from Todoroki, Bakugo and Kirishima, climbed the outside of the tower thanks to Mineta, and somehow avoided getting caught by the villains patrolling the upper floors.

Now they had finally reached the control room, and the door was locked.

Midoriya stared at the reinforced door for several seconds before turning toward Yaoyorozu. "Can you open it?"

"I could create something to breach the door, but doing so quietly would be difficult." Yaoyorozu examined the electronic panel beside it. "And if the villains realize we're here, they could threaten the hostage."

"Or lock us out of the system completely," Iida added.

Kyouka looked toward the wall. There had to be another way inside. "Give me a second."

She placed both jacks against the wall this time and sent a small pulse through it. The vibrations traveled outward, allowing her to get a better idea of the room's layout.

She could see desks, computers, the villains, the hostage, and something hollow above them.
Kyouka opened her eyes and looked toward the ceiling. "Ventilation."

Everyone followed her gaze. Mineta immediately shook his head. "No."

Mina grinned. "Nobody said anything yet."

"I know where this is going!" He complained.

"You climbed a skyscraper."

"And I hated every second of it!" But he did it for Weiss.
