CHAPTER 16

MINNIE'S P.O.V

We make ourselves comfortable on bed and he continues weeping. Even I can feel my eyes getting slight watery but I don't wanna cry, specially in front of Zayn, who has this mind set of me being too vulnerable.

"Zayn! Stop crying please! I can't see you that way. It's too.. " I say and he nods, while wiping his tears for the last time.

"Better." I pass a concerned smile and he smiles back. Not the smile I've grown to adore.

We both fall back on the bed and continue to pass smiles to each other until I get that adorable smile back on his face.

"Minnie?"

"Yeah." I stare at the ceilings.

"So?"

"So what?" I reply calmly.

"See! I don't have that much strength to keep forcing you to stop taking those pills! All I can do is ask you for the millionth time to leave them. I can't bear the pain of losing another friend of mine. We all need you in some or the other way and I guess you know that. Liam, who takes you as a bestie now, Keira your childhood friend, Jenna who can't go without your hug (dry laugh), Cassie who has grown to like you as a friend, and many more. I just want you to know, may be you don't mean a Fuck to this world, but in our worlds you do mean a lot." He smiles.

"Zayn! Honestly, I do respect and care about whatever you said, but those pills aren't an addiction, they are my need. I can understand the pain that you've gone through, and I seriously don't wish to be another reason you bear that pain again but..."

"But what Minnie! They aren't your need! You have just grown used to of them. Trust me! I'll help you to get rid of them, you just need to ask. A day or two or ten or more, but someday you'll sleep without them, you'll smile without them, and that's what I want, that's what we want, right!  You just need to ask and see the difference it creates in your life."

"Zayn!" I turn towards him, just to find him already staring me, with so much of intensity and innocence in his caramel eyes.

"Please?" He and his puppy eyes, gosh! He's so cute at times like this.

"Erm... okay. I'll try." I blurt.

"Really??" He confirms and I nod.

He immediately climbs out of the bed, pulls me up and hugs me tight.

"Thank you so very much. Minnie! I can't explain how happy i am. Thank you so very much for understanding me. I'm..."

"Zayn! Leave me!" I snap.

"Oh! I'm...I'm sorry. Actually..I..I just got too.." He fumble through his words.

He looks cute that way. Fumbling through his words and his cheeks flushing.

"Haha! Its okay, i understand but next time..." I chuckle and he nods and scratches his head.

"So! will you please ask your best friend to unlock the door now." I give him a stern look.

"You knew it?" He confirms, I assume.

"Of course! Don't bring up lame questions. Listen! I'm hungry, damn hungry! so call him and let me out through this wooden shit!" I roll my eyes.

"Ya sure! But promise me you wont tell anyone that i...you know.." He stutters.

"That you cried?" I confirm and he nods.

"Ya! Sure! Until prince Malik gives me an opportunity to do soo." I smirk.

"Minnie?"

"What Zayn? Every bitch has its day! And this time for sure its mine." I tease.
