His name was Calum Hood. He was majoring in business to help run his mom's business. He had the warmest smile with brown eyes that would watch you attentively as you spoke. With each moment passing as we conversed, I felt myself grow more self aware in what I was saying as his eyes never left mine.In fact, I wanted to say less just to hear him talk more in which he did. To the point where he he started talking about his random hobbies and his friend Luke.
"Calum!" someone shouts from behind me.
I turn my head to a guy with a bag of chips in his hand. I recognized him to be Calum's friend who had looked at me annoyed that night at Emo Nights.
"Whats up?" he says as he comes closer. He wad bits of cheese powder in his lips and between his teeth. It was disgusting as well as the fact that he chewed with his mouth open.
"Hey Mike!Just waiting for my class." Calum says.
Michael looks at me next. "Hey"
I give him a smile and a small wave in return.
"Oh This is Jude! She was at Emo Nights." Calum interjects.
"Nice. So she's the one you picked up" Michael nudges Calum with his elbow.
"Uh no...she was the one i helped crowd surf" Calum says sheepishly.
"That's what I meant. FAIL! haha. Hi by the way. My name is Mike."
"Hi Michael, yeah well it was nice meeting you two but I'm late for my Speech class so see ya next time? " I say as I get up and make my way away from them.
"Wait! Speech...as in Carson?" Michael says.
I turn my head back " Yeah?"
"Oh! So do I actually. Bye Cal" Michael says patting Cal's shoulder as he follows me to our class.
"So how long have you been here?" Michael asks.
"This is my second year." I replied as he opened the door for me and I walked in and found a seat in the back of the class. Michael sits a seat away from me and takes out his folder from his backpack.
"Nice. Same here" was the last thing he said before the teacher started the class.
