After I had found all of the girls, and they had gotten their bags, we walked to Gryffindor tower. While the others gossiped and gushed about their gowns, I remained silent until we had reached our room. Ginny joined the conversation as we changed into our pajamas (see profile). I had cast protective charms to make sure no boys would eavesdrop. We set out our sleeping bags, and started talking about clothes.

"I love your slippers, Parvati," I said sweetly.

"Oh. Thank you. My mom got them for me. I simply adore them. I like your, er, socks," she said, trying to be nice.

"As do I. They are quite usual. I seem to be drawn to unusual things, you know," said Luna, and no one argued. I was quiet for a moment, until Cho cleared her throat.

"Let's talk dresses. What are you wearing, Ginny?" she asked.

"Well, I couldn't decide what dress to wear. I have too many to pick because I'm still debating which style to wear," she sighed as if it were deciding life and death.

"Me too!" said both the Patil sisters. Cho nodded eagerly. We quickly began to discuss dresses, and decided that there were three main styles: Long formal, short formal, party dress.

"I'm wearing a short formal dress," giggled Parvati, holding up a beautiful blue gown. "I'll give those Beauxbaton's a run for their money." All of her dresses are sultrier than mine. I thought.

"I think I'll go with a long formal dress," Padma nearly whispered. She held up her bright burnt orange tunic. It clashed marvelously with her skin tone.

"I know that the short formal fits me best, but the party dress is so pretty," Ginny sighed. I laughed, and she turned on me. "Well, what do you have to say Miss Future Krum?" she teased.

"Parvati, that dress was always my favorite. And Padma, show a little confidence; you have such a pretty figure," I tapped her on the chin, and bumped hips with Parvati. "Ginny, go with the party dress, the golden outline makes your skin glow. What about you, Cho?" I asked as she emerged from the bathroom; we all gasped.

"I don't know about this guys. It's a bit too flashy for me. Are you sure about the hem?" she asked playing with her bodice.

"It's lovely, Cho. Whoever you go with will be one of the luckiest boys there," Padma assured her. She giggled.

"Come on, guys. This is a slumber party! Let's get to the juicy stuff. You all know who I'm going with. Who asked you guys?" I declared, wiggling my eyebrows.

"Actually, Cedric asked me," muttered Cho.

"He's quite handsome. You two will look lovely together."

"Thank you, Luna. Has anyone asked you?" she inquired.

"No, but I don't mind. I don't believe I've ever gone to a dance, I wouldn't know what to say," she pondered dreamily.

"No one is as fine as Cedric," said Parvati to her twin.

"So true. With his bronze hair, chocolate eyes, and the way he smiles; he makes me melt. Oh my gosh, you're so lucky," gushed Padma before she could stop herself. She blushed a warm magenta color that would've matched her dress brilliantly.

"Aren't you going to the dance with Ronald, Padma?" asked Luna, who didn't think it was wrong to ask such a question. Padma shot me a nervous glance.

"Well, yes, but it's more of a pity date. You know I wouldn't do that to you, Hermione. It isn't even like that," she finished quickly.

"Honestly, I'd be quite pleased for you, if you were. He's sweet, though a bit of a pigheaded git sometimes. But that's all behind me," I said breezily.

"Is that why you're wearing you 'don't bother me' pj's," Ginny asked. I glared at her.

"I love wearing these pj's, and they're the only thing I love," I stated finally. So much for getting them involved in my plan.

"Harry told me about what had happened with you and Ron, Hermione. And I'm sorry," said Cho. Everyone else murmured words of agreement. Then Luna said something very surprising.

"I would like to go to a dance. Could you help pick something for me to wear," we all exchanged glances evilly.

"This is just the thing Hermione needs because she's 'so over' Ron," said Parvati with a wink. I had to admit, it was a good idea.

"I have three dresses," she said waving her wand, and making them appear in front of us. The first was a green color with sparkles and tulle. Next, was a yellow dress. Both were strapless, but the yellow fit too snuggly and the green was too poufy. Finally came a one shoulder beige gown. It was made entirely from tulle, but fit her figure nicely.

"I like the beige dress, Luna. It's just a tad too...much," I finally decided.

"Allow me," asserted Padma. She marched over to the hovering dress, and delicately began cutting a little here and there.

"What is she doing?" I whispered to Parvati, who was staring in awe.

"Just wait," she murmured. "Wait she lacks in backbone, she makes up for in style." It was true that Padma always dressed fashionably, but her sister always seemed to outshine her. When she was done, she took a step back and sighed.

"Quite an improvement, I'd say," said Luna cheerfully. She and Padma hugged as Padma wiped her beading forehead. We all gave them both a round of applause and the curtsied gracefully.

"Now it's your turn," Ginny grinned maliciously. The group decided a red dress, shorter than my knees would do me a great justice. Parvati had the perfect dress, and since it was still a bit big for her tiny frame, she let me keep it. I sighed twirling around throughout the bedchamber. I finally collapsed on my bed.

"I think I'm going to sleep. Good night. And-and thank you, everyone. I couldn't have done it without you," I changed back into my pajamas, and everyone did the same. Luna wore a pair of Converse for her sleepwalking, but everyone else put on their slippers and gleefully went to bed. The last sound I heard was a group high-five before I drifted off to my dreams.
