Yes, I was right - Bella did leak my number. I didn't know how to feel - on one hand, my number had been spread around without my permission and who knew whose hands it would end up in next! On the other hand, I was being given a free ticket to fulfilling my lifelong dream!
For some reason, Grace asked us to close the shop an hour earlier that day, and when I got home, Mum was still awake, watching her dramas on TV.
"Hi mum." I said.
"Hey honey, how was work?" she asked.
"It was ok." I said.
I decided to watch the dramas with her as we had not spent time together for a while, moreover I could use it as an excuse to bring up the topic.
"Mum, TVB asked me to audition for their new drama." I said.
"Are you serious?" she asked.
"Yes." I quickly replied. "I even have a text message from the director to prove it."
You could probably guess how everything went after that, and I had no choice but to confess everything to her, about how I delivered Bella's parcel personally, how I met her, and how she asked for my number.
"Well," said Mum, "go for it."
"Thanks." I smiled, and walked to my bedroom.
Just as I reached my bedroom door, my phone lighted up. Yet another text message. Another unfamiliar number.
"Sorry! The director asked if he could have your number since you're so cute and he thinks you could have a cameo role in Forensic Heroes 4. I just passed him your number since I agreed that you're cute and I want to make him happy. This is Bella."
"Apology accepted." I texted a reply.
