Lost Memories

Chapter One

Jack Johnson made his way to his new apartment, fire rushing through his veins. He couldn't wait to be on his own. Of course he wouldn't actually be on his own. He still has his Mothers, Grandparents, and Sister.

But he no longer lives with them, a new independence brought upon him. This was the start of his new life, his own life, without relying on his parents to make decisions for him.

It is the way of the world. When each person turned twenty they inherit an apartment. They live in it for the next five years, until they unite with their spouse and move into a house. During that time they get to know each other, creating a bond that is unbreakable. Divorce is not allowed, neither is cheating.

Jack couldn't help but feel a bit jumpy as he walks to the enormous building, soon going to be filled with new people like him. Their jobs were quite simple, they have been training for it since they were sixteen. Jack is an Environmentalist, he has always loved the environment. He makes sure all waste is correctly taken care of, takes care of plants that are starting to go extinct, and the landscape isn't destroyed from building.

They do not make money, and there is no qualities such as it. Food is delivered at 6am, 12pm, and 6pm. Servings are depended on the person, weight is controlled. Everyone was healthy. Obese or Anorexic people bring diseases and illness, something they did not want in the community.

For his whole life, Jack has always been happy. His life honestly was perfect. But now it was time for something different. Taking a deep breath, Jack strolls inside the building, ready for his new beginning.
