"Hello, beautiful." He smiled at her cheerfully as he approached where she was currently standing alone. A shocked expression crossed her face as he held her body against his. "I love you," he murmured, right before pressing his lips to hers. She could hear the elderly women around them cooing at the sight of the two in a close embrace.

"What an attractive couple," she heard one of the ladies say. With that, she wrenched herself from his grip. She paused long enough to shoot the women a good-natured smile before grasping his hand and dragging him a good distance away. She released his hand, only to place it on her hip as she glared at him.

"Sorry about that, little one. I just needed to get them off my back. They kept bothering me about setting me up with their young granddaughters and I thought you'd be willing to help me out." She continued to glare, wanting to open her mouth and scream at him, but refraining from doing so. "Now, won't you tell me your name so I don't look like an idiot?" He had the nerve to ask her name after randomly kissing her? Ass.

She narrowed her eyes for a moment before catching sight of the old ladies, who were watching the two with curiosity. Instantly, her expression brightened and she laughed, pretending to be enjoying their conversation. She released her hips and wrapped her arms around his waist. "You better be ready, babe, because you have no idea how far I'm willing to take this." She planted a kiss on his cheek and winked at one of the ladies over his shoulder. She pulled away, keeping one arm wrapped around his waist as she led him back to the small crowd of ladies.

"Sorry about that, ladies. Sometimes my boyfriend picks the wrong moment to be abnormally affectionate, even though he knows how I feel about public displays of affection." She smiled up at him sweetly as she secretly dug a finger into his ribs. He winced before smiling back at her and pulling her even closer. The ladies continued to smile at the two of them.

"As I said, you two are a very nice looking couple," the same woman repeated her previous statement. "You know, dear, he's a keeper. We were trying to pressure him into going on a date with at least one of our granddaughters, but he continued to say how happy he was with his girlfriend and how he just couldn't imagine leaving her any time soon." She glanced up at him and saw a genuine blush cross his cheeks before he grinned. "Isn't that sweet?"

"Yes, he's just the sweetest. I can't imagine being with anyone else, if I'm being completely honest." The ladies tittered knowingly and insisted on getting a photograph of the two of them. She tried to talk them out of it, but he agreed with them and insisted they should have photographic evidence of 'the cutest couple they had ever seen.' She smiled as they snapped photo after photo and was relieved when their charter bus finally pulled up and the ladies all waved at the two of them. As soon as their bus was out of sight, her arm dropped from around his waist and she took a large step away from him. "Care to tell me exactly what just happened before I personally neuter you?"

"Sorry, little one. Like I said, they kept pestering me and I saw you over here all on your own and thought 'hey, maybe this beautiful girl wouldn't mind being my girlfriend for just a few minutes.' And I guess I was right." He winked cockily at her and she rolled her eyes. "Now, I was serious about getting your name. And maybe a phone number. Just in case I ever need a spontaneous girlfriend." She narrowed her eyes at him and shook her head before beginning to walk away. Shockingly, he didn't follow her, nor did he try to stop her.

A quick glance at her phone told her she had ten minutes to get to work and a second glance, this time at the street she was crossing, told her she had another three blocks to walk. Not too bad, but she liked being early to work. Picking up her pace, she reached the door in just a few minutes and took a second to relax before placing her hand on the doorknob.
