Foxy's POV
Three months later.
I sat in the dark inside Pirates Cove. It was now very familiar; I'd Locked myself away from the others ever since Mangle had been reset.
Often, the animatronics would try to coax me from the darkness I now lived in. I always refused. If I went out, I'd have to face Mangle. It would never be the same.
She doesn't even know me anymore. About a month after the day the employees came into my cove to discuss her, she was taken.
I'd wanted to kill those humans who took her, but I knew better.
With a sigh, I tightened my grip around the small Mangle keychain she had found for me in one of the storage rooms just in the week before she was reset.
I looked at the plastic toy resting in my palm. Oil came to my eyes, but I pushed it back.
I got up off of the cold, wooden floor of the cove. The two chairs Mangle and I had always sat in remained.
I tried not to cry as I sat down, grabbing a piece of paper that was lying in the chair next to mine.
It was a note that Mangle had wrote to me. I read it everyday.
'Dear Foxy,
I wanted to write you something so that you'd always remember how much I love you. I'd swim oceans for you.. Travel to the other side of the earth for you.. Anything for you, my love. I just want you to know that even if my memory is erased, it can't erase what we had. My love for you was stronger than anything I'd ever felt. Foxy the Pirate Fox, I will always love you. We will meet again one day, I'm sure of it.Love,
Mangle <3'I stared blankly at the note, feeling my insides crumble. Oil tears formed in my eyes.
I heard a tug at my curtains, and I quickly sat the note down and blocked back my tears.
A brown figure peeked into the cove. "Foxy, it's time you come out."
"I'd rather not." I said in a low, almost growl voice.
Freddy sighed, pulling the curtain open more to expose his full body. "I mean it." The bear said, swallowing like he was nervous. "Mangle would like to.. Meet you."
I tried not to cry as I looked up for the first time. "Wha-what?"
"Clean yourself up. Look presentable. Be out in a few minutes."
I wiped my face free of any oil, then looked around the cove. There was a plastic, red rose lying on the shelf.
I grabbed it, holding it carefully as I stepped out of the cove. I forced myself to smile as I looked around the pizzeria.
There was Mangle, sitting on the stage talking to Toy Chica.
I smiled as I walked up to her, even though I felt like breaking down.
She turned, looking at me, then smiled.
"You must be Foxy!" She said, standing up to greet me.
"Aye, I be Foxy the Pirate Fox. Nice to meet ye, lassie." I said, bowing with the rose in hand stretched toward her.
She blushed, her eyes fluttering. "Why.. Thank you." She smiled, taking the rose from me.
I felt myself blush a bit, and I set myself upright.
"I'm sorry for not introducing meself sooner, lass."Mangle still had a beautiful bright smile. "Oh, it's no big deal."
I smiled. "Thank ye. I may have seemed a bit antisocial."
"It's okay, you're out here now, right?" Mangle said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
I felt tears come to my eyes, but I forced them back before she could notice. The familiarity of her touch had been gone for so long.
"I guess," I said, trying to smile again.
Toy Chica was standing beside Mangle now. She glanced at me, her sympathy showing.
I just nodded towards her, and she nodded back.
Toy Chica had to have been upset too. I remembered hearing quiet sobs outside my cove. At least she still had Toy Bonnie.
"Nice meeting ye, lassie." I grabbed Mangle's hand, kissing it lightly. "I should be off now."
Mangle smiled and blushed. Her bright yellow eyes sparkled as she looked up at me. "Same to you," She said in a hushed tone.
I let go of her hand. "Bye, lass." I said as I began to walk towards my cove again.
When I stepped into my cove, I turned to take another glance at Mangle.
From that moment, I had the greatest idea.
I would make Mangle fall for me again.
(Going to be uploading this story. Keep in mind that I'm in school, so chapters may come out slow. Only time I'll have to write will be in first hour, but this week, I have assignments for that class. I still haven't finished one book to get those assignments done, let's just hope I'm far enough to get started on them 😅)
