A felt the branch hit my hands, I had it I had made it. I hadn't closed my grip. I slipped, "heLP!" No one was gonna help me, I admitted to myself as soon as I said it. The feeling stung. No one was there to help me. I was alone... I felt the tree scraping up against my skin, my acne-free, once flawless skin. I tried wrapping my legs and arms around the tree, I shouldn't have. I should have just let myself fall, the damage was critical. To a human, almost deathly. Luckily, for me, I'm not a human. Sure, I was cover in scratches, blood... Okay so I was pretty much almost dead. But I can't die. You heard me right.. Or read me right rather. You'll see what I mean.
I stopped at the very end off the tree, I stopped sliding. Letting go of the tree, I looked at my arms. They were what you would call, um. Tree burnt. Like how you get rug burn or rope burn, like that. It showed up far too well on my pale skin. The skin on my hand palms had practically started pealing off. Noticing the ache in my whole body I looked down at myself. My shirt was torn, revealing most of my side, and some of my bra. I knew my mom wouldn't approve of this.. But she wasn't here...
The air was sticky and humid, which made it even harder to run, or even stand for that matter. I looked at my side and saw the scratches, and blood. I felt my canines suddenly grow longer. No I wouldn't feast on my own blood, not at this point I wouldn't, I wasn't that hungry.
I turned around just to have a nose pressed up against mine, the figure grabbed my chin and forced it up, causing every bone in my jaw to ache. "Hello, Darling." I looked up into the cold eyes that were looking into mine. They were emerald green, and frankly, quite hard not to stare into. "Who are you and what do you want with me?" I managed to say through my closed teeth. "After all of this I'd figure you'd remember me..." His... His eyes had a saddened touch to them, almost as if he had cared that I didn't remember him.
He now had this nasty smirk on his face, "I'm Parker. Parker Zeno." So this was the idiot who took me, and was about to do it again. "Oh I remember you now." I glared at him, and he seemed surprised, "So you do remember our little games." He let go of my chin and let my head drop. I glanced up the tree and then quickly at my surroundings. "Don't you even think about running this time, Brew." When he said my name it sent shivers down my spine. I took his appearance in, he wore a pair of grey suit pants, a white collared shirt, nice dress shoes, and a grey vest. "A little bit dressy for the forest don't you think?" He smiled a little, "That's just how far you ran, my dear." He didn't seem much older than me, but still being an eighteen year old, in the middle of the forest, having no knowledge of how I had got here- for all I had known he could have been a murderer. I thought about what he said... So had I ran through a city, and actually escaped these people? I lost myself in thought and didn't noticed Parker pulling my hands behind my back, he had tied my hands together and was soon standing in front of me. Something was digging into my waist and it was very, very painful. Even through all of this, I felt it. I tried thinking about what it was, soon I remembered. My knife. I had stuck my knife on my belt. My belt wasn't actually a belt.. It was a strap that you use for rolling up a sleeping bag. But it had worked as a multi purposed item. I could hear my mother now, "See carrying that knife with you all the time wasn't such a good idea after all!" I was about to ask Parker to get my knife, but then realization struck over me.
1. It would be quite awkward to ask a male, as I'm a female, to touch my waist, pull up my shirt to get my knife.
2. Giving this guy a weapon didn't seem like the best thing to do, especially since my hands were tied behind my back.
I growled at him, looking at his face for the first actual time. The times before that I had looked at him it was either into his eyes, or at his clothes. He had dark, medium length, caramel brown hair. His cheeks had freckles on them, and once again his eyes. They were a beautiful emerald green. I found myself staring at him and shook my head violently, I was not thinking someone who had trapped me, was cute.
