Walking. Cold woods, even colder fingers, protected by only my thin pockets. I wasn't lost besides the fact I had no idea where I was. I had planned on leaving the civilization I had once been a part of. I knew I was far, too far to ever return but I wasn't lost in the mental way I thought I would end up being.
I had made it to a small shack as rain began to pour hard and heavy on my long black haired head. It wasn't pleasant being drowned in the worlds unwanted tears of despair. But my own tears wouldn't make it any better.

I enter the broken down shack to get away from the depressing rain but I find that I'm not alone. His black eyes were wide with surprise as he saw me enter.

"Staying out of the rain?" He questioned, I nodded. "Running away from life?"

I nodded once more. We were very far from anything that resembled society. so far out the only living creature that could possibly hear my terrified screams. There was no guarantee I would need to scream in fear, but my muscles were tensing by looking at this mysterious man. He questioned me oddly reminding me we were alone.

"Lay down." He ordered.

I did as if I had seen this coming. He pulled out a small pocket razor, pressed it softly to my thin skinned leg, exposed. Pain wasn't an issue, really nothing was an issue at this point. Tears didn't dare peel out of my eyes, I lied there emotionless like a dead body, dug out of the grave.
His fingers dug slowly into my leg wound, he didn't speak. He slowly pulled his bloody fingers out and ran them along my lower lip.

"Are you scared?" He started at me emotionless.

I nodded no. A stupid move and I knew it but I couldn't help but be curious as to what he would do next. The man lifted my shirt and ran a hand along my stomach. The blade was pressed to my skin once again, this time just above the belly button. Still not terrified but a lump was rising in my throat and tears were spilling slowly.
His fingers again felt around inside my body, his other hand held mine in tight embrace.

"It's okay." He assured me.

I believed him like the fool I was, stupid bleeding inside and out. drowning in the pain but I didn't care. Maybe I was so lost I didn't even realize it.
He finished inspecting the organs deep inside my stomach and moved to my chest making another incision. His fingers entered and I let out a small yelp.

"Don't speak." He demanded in a calm hush.

I didn't say anything else. The only sound was his fingers exploring my arteries and my heavy breathing.

"I found it." He suddenly said, not surprised but deadly calm.

He grabbed my heart is his full hand feeling it and inspecting it with his cold fingers. He pulled the blade out one last time and cut a deep hole in the center. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small skeleton key. I looked at him in wonder but didn't ask questions as he placed the key inside the hole he created in my heart. Bloody fingers extracted.

"Your welcome." He said before getting up and leaving.

"Thank you." I said, my first words to him before he left.

Then I lied there. Finally compleat, finally able to live. A few hours of true life, then I died. Happily.
