"Mr.Williams, Ms.Collins will see you now" The receptionist exclaimed as she led me down the posh hallway to Ms. Collins office. I couldn't help but admire her impeccable style as we drew closer to the large oak door adorned with gold accents and a large antique knob. I exhaled silently as the receptionist reached for the door to open it.

"Ready?" she questioned before we entered the exquisite office. " Yes." I breathed. you can do this I told myself. Landing this job meant everything to me. I NEEDED this. I know its just a security position. But how hard can it be to keep one person safe. I mean what dangers does she need keeping from anyway? I pondered on that thought as I took a seat on her large black leather sofa. The receptionist phone began to ring she answered and with out saying a word hung up.

"Ms.Collins will be in a minute. Something came up." she promised just before she rushed out of the room.

I sat nervously for another thirty-five minutes. Waiting for what seemed like forever as a whole hour and a half passed without so much as an update as to what was prolonging my stay in this high end prision . Annoyed I stood up deciding I had waited long enough I walked over to the door prepared to leave and just as I put my hand on the knob it began to turn. I released my grip on the knob anxious to see who was on the other side I stepped back allowing enough space for whoever it was to make an entrance.

My heart dropped. My palms began to sweat and I knees damn near buckeled. My eyes felt decieved as she stood before me. Anasha Collins. THE MOTHERFUCKING ANASHA COLLINS. Was standing so close to me I could smell her sensuous perfume. Paralyzed by her beauty, I stood there not saying a word. Catching me off guard she extended her delicate caramel hand as she officially introduced herself to me.

"Im Anasha... and you are?" she paused. " Mason." I confirmed. " Well Mason, I'm sorry to have kept you waiting." She began again.

"I had some loose ends to tie up to finish preparing for my upcoming world tour. Which is why your here of course." she finished.

" Tell me, Mason, have you ever protected someone else's life with your own?" She probed as she raised her perfectly arched eyebrows. Waiting for my response.

My palms began to sweat again. And although the answer to this question was quite simple I couldn't seem to answer it. I had completely zoned out. Something about the question she asked me brought back painful memories. I winced as scabs from old wounds began to rip open. I guess two tours of war will do that to you. I closed my eyes only to open them back up almost immediately after. The truth is I had never truly forgiven myself for my brother's death. He and are were twins, and did everything together. We even enlisted into the Marines together.

"Snap out of it! She is waiting. My conscious warned.

"Yes I have." I finally replied. "How many times?" She retorted.

"Several." I confirmed.

"Any Casualties?" she asked.

"No." I lied.

Finally seeming convinced with my abilities Anasha gave me the job.

"You start tonight. You will meet me back here. After that we will head over to the stadium for rehearsals." She confirmed as we both stood up and shook hands.

"Before you leave get the location from my receptionist Lylah for your suit fitting. As my body guard you need to look sharp." She paused and looked at me. Sizing me up with her eyes.

"Welcome to the team Mason."

"Thank you." I said in gratitude for the opportunity.

I made my way to Lylah's desk.
