(Continuing)
By the time we reached the "Maria Pub", the sun slowly tucked into the horizon. Levi pulled the car into the empty parking lot. Before we left asked if I was going to get carded. He explained to me that the place was a basic shithole and his pal, Auruo, was running the bar, so I should be fine. I nodded and we continued out the car.
Levi walked ahead of me and opened the door. The instant the glass door was pulled open, the obnoxiously loud sounds of men yelling, not only that but the stench of liquor and cigarette smoke. I walked past Levi into the building.
I felt Levis hand gently touch my lower back as he began to lead me past a group of rowdy mid-aged men. From the corner of my eye, I could see a flat-screen T.V that they were crowding around. Levi continued to lead me until we reached a booth in the far corner of the room. The red, faux leather seats were quite aged and were starting to fall apart at the seams. As we slid in our sides of the booth, the wooden table between us wobbled. Levi really wasn't kidding when he said this place was a shithole.
I looked up at Levi, I wasn't paying close attention, but I think he said something along the lines of, "Eren, I'll be back, I'll get you a drink". I nodded.
Levi got up and walked away, towards the bar across the room, close to the door we entered from. I twiddled my thumbs underneath the table, impatiently waiting for him to come back. My eyes began to surface the area for a second time, noticing somewhat familiar faces. By familiar I mean the man who used to be my next door neighbor. I never knew him very well, our families liked to keep to themselves. I doubt he would recognize me now, 10 years have past since he moved across to the other side of the suburb.
My eyes went back to scanning the area. From behind the crowd of men, I could see the door open and a tall man walk through, next to him was another person. It was too dark to catch any real detail.
About 5 minutes past before I noticed Levi walking back. Unfortunately, he wasn't alone, I guess these were his friends. As the Levi and the two yet to be identified followers neared I started to make small detail. It was a man and woman, both significantly taller than Levi.
My heart stopped when Levi was finally back at the table. Behind him stood Principal Smith, and Mrs.Zoe. They both had the same shocked expression that I had upon my face.
I got the feeling that Levi knew what was up between the three of us. He set a couple of bottles front of me and pulled Erwin out of site, meanwhile Hanji took a seat in the booth in front of me. The room slowly got quieter. Hanji smiled as she pulled out a bottle of water from her purse.
"I see you have something better to do than going to a party"
I slowly nodded. "Please don't call my mom." My hands underneath the table became a shaky mess.
Out of a complete turn of events, Hanji burst out into laughter. I was amazed. What was so funny? I knew she was weird, but I didn't think she was batshit crazy.
After about a minute, she calmed down enough to talk. "Eren, right now I'm not your teacher, I don't actually care what you do on your free time. I mean, maybe I would call your mom if I saw you drinking with a man 10 years older than you other than Levi, but hell! You're with Levi! That man wouldn't even hurt a fly if he had t-"
