Better Love Story Than Twilight

"The story must have an old man in it. The story must involve an axe at the end."

-Prompt

This is a story about middle school lovers that continued to love each other all throughout high school and college. The lovely woman's name is Naomi and she loved Terrance with all of her heart. Naomi and Terrance have been together ever since middle school with their love growing every single moment they spend time together. Throughout the years, Terrance took Naomi on remarkable dates; with each better than the last. Corny as it may seem, Naomi loved going to Drive-Thru Movies. It gives her the feeling that she's in those romantic movies she watched when she was younger. Terrance felt the need to please her by playing music out of a boombox outside her window, riding away on a lawn mower, and even throwing his fist in the air after each date singing simple minds' "Don't you forget about me."

While taking classes in college, Terrance decided that it was time to pop the question in asking her hand in marriage. He wanted to make this moment special, so he asked a few friends that were in the band for a favor. They officially started dating on November 14, 1990. On this very day, Terrance met up with Naomi. in the bleachers to study together, but Terrance queued in the few bandmates he could to put on a mini field show for her. Naomi busted out in tears as she recognized what song they were playing, Don't you forget about me. The 9 instrument players did their best to march into a wedding ring and then into a question mark. Naomi turned to see Terrance on one knee with a ring in his hand. Before he even asked, Naomi screamed yes.

After college, they married on the November 14, 2001. Terrance always found a way to make their honeymoon special each year, and Naomi never grew tired of their love. Their love was kind, true, and pure. As time passed, they had children and grandchildren. But all good things must come to an end. Naomi passed away in 2034. Age has also caught up with Terrance, but he was ready to leave with Naomi. After her funeral, Terrance asked his sons and grandsons if they could help with something that he really needed to do. They went to Terrance's house to cut down the branches of the Cherry Blossom Tree with an axe where Terrance asked Naomi out so long ago.
