Beep! Beep! Beep! It was my alarm for 6 AM, school started at 7:50. I got to get to class. I took a shower and got dressed for school. I got my safety pistol, everyone had them, it was considered safe, for our own protection, protection from the moaners, or so what I called them. I hated hearing them moan right outside my window at night while I'm trying to sleep. I went and kissed my mom before leaving.
"Please be home before nightfall, I don't want anything happening to you." she said I a worried voice, like every morning.
"Don't worry, you know I'll be home." I said to her, and to myself. You never know what will happen in this world.
This mad world.
I walked to my school, telling myself that I'll be home before nightfall. I'll be home, I'll be home, I'm always home.
