Cristiano grinned as he watched his wife sleep peacefully. She deserved some proper sleep after giving birth and he was happy to spend sometime with his son and daughter.

Walking down the hallway, he smiled listening to Hope talking to her dolls in her room. She seemed to think that they were her best friends but Cristiano found it adorable.

"Morning princesa," Cristiano smiled as he walked into her room and lifted her from her crib making the toddler smile.

"You, James and I are going to spend sometime together today while mama relaxes, how does that sound?" Cristiano mused as he kissed his daughters cheek.

"Fun," Hope smiled as she hugged her father while he started walking downstairs. James was still asleep in his crib on Cristiano's side of the bed and he knew he'd get his son before he had a chance to wake Lilliana.

Cristiano set about making his daughters breakfast while she watched the 2015 Cinderlla movie in the living room. He was glad his wife would get some proper rest and he couldn't wait to spend the wintery day with his children.

Although it's spring, the wind and rain has been hitting hard since last night and Cristiano was glad to be stuck inside for once.

"Now mi princesa," Cristiano murmured as he set the bowl of Cheerios on the table in front of his daughter.

He sat on the couch behind her watching her contently. He'd hate to see the day when his daughter or son were grown up with families of their own but he knew he couldn't stop time.

"You are the exact same as your sister, extremely quiet," Cristiano mused as he held his son on his chest. The little boy was happily looking at the colours and lights all around him not making a sound.

"That does scare me sometimes," Cristiano murmured as he kissed the top of his sons head while glancing at Hope who had fallen asleep on the couch and since it was her nap time Cristiano didn't mind.

"I'm so happy you're here with us James... I don't know what I would've done if we had lost you," Cristiano said as he looked at James who was now grinning up at his father.

"We almost lost your sister when she was born and that wasn't a fun time," Cristiano whispered looking to his daughter. He didn't know what he would've done if neither of his children had survived; he most likely wouldn't be here.

"Hope can't wait for you to get bigger so you can play football with us in the garden. I think she gets bored of just playing with papa," Cristiano mused as he lay down on the couch.

He was still tired from not sleeping in the hospital and he knew his son would be falling asleep anytime soon; an hour wouldn't hurt anyone.

"How are you?" Cristiano asked as he stepped into the bedroom watching his wife texting on her phone. She had such an amazing sleep and she'd probably go back to it later on.

"I'm good, less tired," Lilliana mused as Cristiano set her tea and toast on the bedside table before sitting beside her and kissing her lips softly.

"How are they?" Lilliana asked making Cristiano smile. He hadn't left her out of the room and she wished he'd get some rest too, he had stayed awake for twenty six hours the other day.

"As good as gold," Cristiano smiled as he kissed his wife again. He knew he had two of the quietest children downstairs and he hoped they'd always stay like that.

Cristiano kissed Lilliana once more before moving to get up and leave the room. Hope and James were downstairs alone and he didn't want to leave them there.

"You'll call me if you need a break right?" Lilliana asked making her husband look back at her as he stood at the door.

"Nope," Cristiano winked before closing the door and leaving Lilliana alone. She rolled her eyes hoping her husband wouldn't over work himself.

Lilliana was so thankful that Cristiano had offered to do this; she couldn't handle giving birth and going back to routine.
