I sighed, why did I agree to this.
I looked down at the little boy sitting in the passenger seat.
Were kids allowed to sit in the front? Whatever.
His dark blue eyes were heart-killingly sad, and his spiked, light blonde hair was messy now.
Apparently, nobody knew his name, not even Hayden, who was his cousin.
Hayden
She was the girl who put me in this mess, her uncle Rick had passed away and she was left with him because nobody got along with Rick except for her.
Hayden was going through a rough time and begged me to take care of the little boy.

"Really just this one time! Remember all those things I did for you?" She cried.
Actually, she hadn't done anything for me that was big or major, or much, but Hayden was being pressured into marrying the richest, snobbiest guy in the states..
I sighed, "How old is he?"
Hayden looked relieved, " Four."
"Fine, but he better pee in the toilet and nowhere else."

"Hey, where do you want to eat?" I asked him as we drove through town.
"Applebees, they serve larger courses for kids for people my age." He stated.
I looked at him, shocked, "How did you know those, bigger words?"
He grinned.
"What do you want to be named?"
This time, the boy took a longer time, " Tyrese, it means intelligent, witty and advanced."
"Tyrese, what a beautiful name.." I murmured as we parked into the Applebees parking lot.
I held his arm while he hopped out of the Honda Civic, "mmmh, it even smells good out here." he sighed; they had a window open.
We walked into the resturant and the friendly waitress asked, "Table for two?"
"Yes please." I smiled at "Ariana".
"Right this way," With two menus, one a children's, she led us to a booth, where Tyrese sat on the same side as me.
"I'll get your waiter, Johnson, right away." She smiled and left.
"So... Tyrese, what's your last name?"
"Gold."
"Hm, Tyrese Gold, a nice sounding name." I smiled; Tyrese grinned.
"Hello, the name's Johnson and I'll be taking your-, whoa! Is that you Sophie?!"
Oh yeah, my name's Sophie. :)
Johson James was from my former highschool and supposedly he was in love with me, which was hard to believe because he was a stereotype football player who loved no one.
"Yes, yes it's me, Johnson." I sighed, "I'll have an ice tea."
He smiled, "And for the lady's man?" Johson looked over at Tyrese teasingly.
"I'll take a RootBeer." He paused then added, "Please."
"Yes sir!" He saluted my new 'brother'.
"Be back in a little." Our waiter smiled.
"Whatcha gonna eat?" I asked Tyrese.
"Whatcha isn't a word and gonna isn't a word either, but I'm 'going to eat' Chicken Fingers, hotwings and french fries, and for dessert, I'm having a peice of chocolate cake," He declared.
"Daaannnggg...." I muttered, "That's one hungy boy."
Tyrese smiled and stared at me proudly, "Yes sir!"
Johnson returned with our drinks and a notepad, "So can I get you any appertizers?"
"Um, yeah, he wants hotwings, anything but not the spicy one."
"Okay!" He jotted down on his lil' notebook.
"I'll have a cheese burger plain, but with lettuce."
Tyrese ordered his Chicken fingers.
"Okay, there we go, be back later with your hotwings." Johnson smiled friendly.
Did he maybe like me? I thought as I casually sipped on my ice tea, "How's that rootbeer Ty?"
"It's Tyrese, but I guess you can call me that... It's goooooodd." He smiled.
Johson returned with the wings, "Here you go, lady's man."
"Thanks, Sophie lover."
He almost choked, "WHAT?! W-w-what d-d-did y-y-you c-c-call m-m-meH?"
"I said, 'thanks Sophie lover'."
I thought I heard Johson mutter, "Smart kid..." but I might of been hallucinating..
"Tyrese!!! Why would you say that?!" I hissed.
Tyrese shrugged, " It's true, you can tell, Sophie."
"I'm so sorry, Johnson!!!" I sighed.
He smiled," It's alright Sophie. I'll be back with the food."
After a few minutes in silence, our waiter returned with the meals.
I munched on my burger and once I was halfway finished, Tyrese was done with EVERYTHING!
"WHOA! Slow down lil' bud!! You ate hotwings, chicken fingers, AND french fries!" I laughed.
"Yup."
"Dannnggg...." I muttered.
Once I finished my food, Johson came right in time and asked, "So any dessert?"
"A peice of your chocolate cake please." Tyrese said politely.
"And you, Soph?" His eyes looked at me.
"Uh, I'm good."
"Okay, be riiigghhhtttt back!"
Only a bit later, he returned with the most delicious looking peice of cake.
"Actually, can I get a peice, John?"I asked shyly.
"'Course!" He grinned and put down the peice for my new little boy.
He took a forkful of chocolate cake and swallowed it.
A happy grin lit up his face.
"I'm guessing it's nasty?" I teased.
Tyrese laughed, "Quite the opposite!"
Johson came back and put a peice of cake identical to Tyrese's except it had a scoop of vanilla ice~cream. "'Kay when you're done you can leave."
"Wait!" I called out when he was walking, "What about the bill?"
He smiled gently, "I got it, Sophie, check your napkin once you're done."
"Bye Johnson!" I yelped.
"Bye, Soph!!!"
We finished our dessert and stuffed the napkin in my pocket.
Once we where driving out of the parking lot, I checked the napkin.
Johson had written down his phone number.
