It was the middle of class and Oobleck was stressed. He had sped through the lesson and there was still time left. This wasn't too uncommon, however, he was normally able to move on, helping the students with anything they missed. This time Oobleck whizzed left and right deep in thought. His shirt had managed to fully un-tuck itself after he passed Blake. His tie was looser than normal and his glasses were long abandoned.

"Professor!" Yelled a voice, catching him off guard. He stumbled tripping over the side of a desk. Catching himself, he quickly drew a hand thru his messy green hair. Recovering he sped to the source of the voice.

Ruby was standing hands against the table. "Ruby, what is it, my dear girl?" Oobleck asked a bit confused.

Ruby paused momentarily. She clearly hadn't gotten this far in her plan as she hurriedly came up with a solution to there problem. At a bare minimum, she wasn't fully prepared.

"You like history right?" Ruby asked flattening her black skirt, biting her lip in hopes that she knew what she was doing.

"Why of course. If you can't learn from history, you're bound to relive it." Oobleck stated, somewhat proudly. He paused in front of the red-headed girl

"Then why don't you tell us a story."

Oobleck's eyes widened, clearly a bit shocked by the statement. A story was a tale told to keep kids good, rarely were they true.

"Stories are mostly..."

"If my experiences with you have told me anything Professor. All stories come from some amount of truth. So how about one from your past. Tell us how you became the great Professor Doctor Oobleck."

"Alright. But you must understand this. This will by no means help your marks. Do I make my self clear?" Oobleck sighed. "And Ruby, never call me that again."

"Your gonna need some help, Bart." A sweet voice rang throughout the class. Everyone turned to see who it was. In the doorway was a younger girl with dark violet hair, silver eyes and pale skin. She was in a dark purple t-shirt that read Dust DJ, blue jeans and black combat boots. She also had a black leather jacket with a single patch. This patch was a small dark blue bleeding heart with a black x in the middle. The girl had one more thing, a large pair of crow wings.

"Night, you're back." Oobleck paused, face frozen in a small hurt smile. "It's been too long. How have you been?"

"Not too bad, Just trying to figure everything out. I just came to make sure you were doing alright, after what happened." Night sighed rubbing the back of her neck. "Are you alright? After all of that, I wouldn't blame you for not being ok."

"What are you talking about? Of course he's alright! What could possibly have traumatized the coolest Professor here?" Nora asked happily, climbing down to the second row. "I mean nothing seems to scare him!"

"Lot's of things scare me, Nora, I just. I try to not let on too much so I can still teach all of you. I'm, really not as innocent as many of you might think." Oobleck shook his head, choking up a little as everything started flooding his mind. "And it cost me a lot. It cost me, mom, it cost me, my dad, it even cost me my wings."

"Wait, you were a..." Weiss started, pausing as Blake glared at her. "Are a faunis?"

"Yes, he is. I think it is about time that you talk about everything Bart. Let go of your fears and troubles." Several heads turned to the new voice. A few students gasped at the woman who had entered. "It's good to see you Night."

"Hey Glinda, sorry about ditching you guys. I just kneaded some space." Night sighed, dropping her head. "I really didn't mean to hurt anyone, you know that right?"

"You didn't hurt anyone. Set us back a little, but that's only because we worry about you." Again the class turned as a second man walked in, Ozpin. He looked worried but happy. "So really as long as you are alright, we will be too."

"We should tell them the story, we have to. They deserve that much." Night sighed pulling away from the two and sitting against the desk. "So why don't we start with how we all first met, each from our own perspective."

"Alright, I believe I Ozpin should go first. This does rest on him a good amount you know." Oobleck nodded as he walked up.

"Alright, it all started about twenty years ago. "
