STUCK IN NARUTO!!! (Gaara love story)

{*~*CHAPTER SEVENTEEN*~*}

"Team 8" The Hokage said while my mind spaced out a bit. He waved his hand in front of my face before I came to again. "Come again?" I tilted my head to the side, trying to pay attention for maybe the third time this month.

"You will be put on Team 8, which is also called Team Kurenai. She's the woman standing behind you." I almost had a heart attack when I learned she was standing right behind me. "When did she get in here? I guess her ninja skills are better than I imagined."

"B-b-b-b-b-but. So I'm not going to be on Naruto's team?" Tears were welling in my eyes as the waterworks was about to begin. The Hokage shook his head sadly. "That team has a lot of potential already Suzuka so being on the same team with Kiba, Shino, and Hinata will....what's the word....broaden your horizons."

"It's a pleasure to meet you." I turned to the team leader Kurenai who held her hand out for me to shake. Burying my disappointment deep down we shook hands and gave each other a warm smile. "That's all for now. You may leave now Suzuka. I shall be seeing your progress from now on." I bowed to the Hokage as he gave me permission to leave and quickly left the building. I didn't have anywhere to be so I ran to the forest to let out my frustration.

"Yuki come out!" I shouted into the empty space as chakra flowed away from my body and shaped into a perfectly solid mini version of the snow leopard. "There's no need to yell Suzuka." She growled at me before sitting with her tail curled neatly over her paws.

"Fight me." I set my kunai pouch down and transformed, setting my paws down with determination. Yuki simply tipped her head to the side. "And what will this accomplish exactly?" I crouched down into a leaping position. "I just want to get used to fighting in this form if the need ever arises." She stood up and shook out her fur before crouching with her teeth showing.

"I won't go easy on you if you're serious about this." A growl formed in the back of my throat as a challenge. Yuki lunged at me with force, knocking me off my feet before batting at my face with her front paws. Her claws were unsheathed so this was a painful thing. I pushed her off with my hind legs before quickly putting a safe distance between us.

I thought of a few quick tactics as Yuki circled around me. When she came at me the second time I was ready. I dodged to the side at the last second and scored my claws down her flank. She cried out in pain before letting out a pleased purr. "Excellent! That was improvement from the first time." My heart swelled with her praise. Yuki is hard to please so this type of compliment is the closest I can get from her.

"Can we keep going?" I got into position again with an attempt to win. "We'll practice until you can get used to fighting like this." She crouched down with her tail swinging behind her. As we were getting ready for another spar I heard a familiar voice behind me.

"Gaara!"
