I'd like to tell you how my life turned upside down. At 15, my high school career was just beginning to take off. I had a stable group if friends, and I happened to be dating the most popular guys in school, Marcus. I was head cheerleader and everyone knew my name, it felt great to be the girl on top.

This all changed 2 summers ago when I moved from Knoxville, Tennessee to a small beach town in California. I was girl from the country moving to a completely new environment. I had to leave behind everything I knew. My father cheated on my mother and she went insane. I was leaving my life to live with my mother's sister, one I didn't even know she had. My brother, Jack, was staying behind with my grandmother and grandfather. I was about to be completely alone.

Saying good bye to all my friends was heart breaking. The cheer squad was crying as we said our farewells. I was avoiding eye contact with Marcus. I couldn't say it to him. My best friend, Abigail, didn't even want to come to school. We hugged for what seemed like 2 seconds. I heard the lunch bell ring. I knew it was my cue to leave.

Marcus grabbed my hand and pulled me to the back of the building where it was empty. His eyes were red and his hair disheveled. He held me in his arms and I could feel his muscles on my back. I grabbed his face in my has and caressed his cheek, wiping away the tears that were slowly forming and falling. We locked our eyes and I could feel his pain. I layed my head on his shoulder and whispered to him "This is only temporary, and I'll be back before you know it."

When I looked up our lips met and he kissed me so passionately. I didn't want this moment to end; I had never felt as much as one with him as I did right now. I wish that I had a few extra moments to have him to myself. He pulled me up closer to him, and I wrapped my legs around his waist. His hands had moved down to the small of my back and my hands were holding on to his neck and grasping his shoulders.

His lips continued to press into my lips and his hands continued to pull me into his body. I leaned my head back gasping for air as he continued to leave his mark on my neck. It felt so good, I wanted to just have him and never let go.

As he let me down onto the floor he looked right into my eyes and said to me, "We'll continue when I see you again." He kissed my forward and went back into the school building. I headed to the front of the school where my brother would be waiting.

This was it this was my last moment on Knoxville. In about an hour I would be on a plane heading to California. My life would change forever. When I got into the car, Jack didn't say a word to me. He drove me to the airport, we both got out of the car and he hugged me like I would never see him again. I cried jnto his shoulder and asked to come with me.

"You know I have to stay with grams. This is what's best for you. You may actually have a chance to make something for yourself in California. Think of it as a golden opportunity." He kissed my cheek and got back into the car. I turned around and headed j to the airport.

As I boarded my plane I looked back at the lobby, I took a deep breathe and headed on into my new life. When I buckled myself into the seat, I still felt the tenderness of Marcus up against my body. I closed my eyes and thought of him, and what he felt like against every part of me. If only I had five more minutes with him.

I looked out the window during take off and held on because this would be one quick ride into something completely new.
