Sam and Sarah now know I like guys, Sam won't tell anyone though, we've been best friends for as long as I can remember. Our mums have been best friends all their lives so it's only natural that Sam and I are good friends, she's like a sister to me.

My phone screamed telling me to get up for school, I fumble around on my bedside table to turn the horrid thing off.

I get up and get dressed, some black jeans, black shirt and a crimson red jacket. My phone beeps and the screen lights up with a name and message on it
Sam sent you a message
I open it up to the usual morning message from Sam:
'Duuuuuddddeeee wake up you're gonna be late and you're not leaving me alone at school!!!'
I grab my phone and quickly type back a message to her
'Sam, you know me, I would never leave you alone at school unless my arm had fallen off! Don't worry :P'
I pick up my bag and rush out the door saying a quick goodbye to my mum as I'm leaving, I walk down the road to my bus stop and I can't stop thinking about him, Josh, his perfect wavy brown hair, his amazing green eyes. Ugh. The bus came a little late and I hop on flashing my bus pass to the driver

I get to school and go to my usual spot where Sam and Marcus were waiting for me, when I got over there to them Marcus took me aside to tell me something in private, away from the ears of Sam.
"OI guess what!"

"...what?"

"You know that Ashley chick?"

"Lemme guess, you asked her out and got lucky when she said yes?"

"Nooo, she actually asked me."

"Haha wow, that's great! I guess we'll be seeing a lot more of her now?"

"Yeah, she's gonna hang with us somedays and I'm gonna hang with her friends somedays" with that, the bell went and Sam ran over almost tackling us to the ground

"What were you guys talking about?!"
She practically yelled

"None of your business, I'll probably tell you later though" Marc quickly said

We make it to our first class in time, English, Josh is in the class, yay! I usually sit on the other side of the room to him, Sam and Marc sit next to eachother and I sit behind them, leaning against the wall with a perfect view of Josh. Mrs Skult was going on about Romeo and Juliet, I was too busy taking a look at Josh to take any of it in.

A hand slammed down on my table, everyone had a little laugh, Mrs Skult practically yelled "David! Are you even listening to me?!"

"Uhm, no miss"
I said, barely audible

"Well, you just earned yourself a detention, now listen up! This is going to be important! I'm giving you all an assignment, what you have to do is work in pairs and write a review on a movie, you decide what movie between yourselves.."
As soon as she said we can work in pairs Marcus and Sam just have each other a look that means 'me and you' but their faces dropped when Mrs Skult said "But I'm choosing the pairs."
She went and got a piece of paper off of her desk and started reading out names

"Alex and Hannah,
Samantha and Kyle,
Marcus and Liam..." Sam cringed at the sound of their names, she hates both Kyle and Liam, Kyle because he's Liam's best friend and Liam for obvious reasons.

Mrs Skult went on until she got down to my name.
"David and Josh..." Oh great, I'm paired with Josh, Sam turned around and gave me a 'lucky' kinda look. I just rolled my eyes in return. The teacher finished the list, and let us chat before the bell goes, we've only got about five minutes left. I'll have to talk to Josh about this assignment, I'm going to die from nerves when I approach him.

The bell finally goes for lunch after a long period of History, it's time to go talk to Josh. Sam and Marc come along with me looking for him, Sam smirking at me the whole time. We see Josh with all of his friends, walking over I start to panic.
"I can't do this" I whisper to Sam

"Come on, just give it a go and remove those thoughts from your mind." Sam says back to be

"What thoughts?" Marc questions. Crap I forgot he didn't know
"Uhhh, we'll tell you later, I promise." I say to him

"Hmm, alright"

We make our way over to Josh and with some more encouragement from Sam I say to him
"S-So what are we gonna do about this a-assignment from English?" I ask him with a terrible stutter. He looks at me with confusion then realized what I was saying
"Uhm, I don't know, I guess we'll have to trade numbers and text about it this afternoon?" His voice is amazing

"Ye-Yeah sure" I hand him my phone and he hands me his and we exchange numbers, we give back the phones and Sam, Marc and I go back to our usual spot in the senior quad.
"So are you going to tell me now?" Marcus asks us
"Yeah sure, uhm, you know Josh?" My hands started to shake as I say these words.

"Yeah..?"

"Oh my god, I can't do this, Sam you do it."

"Alright, well. David like guys, he's gay. And he likes Josh." Sam says for me

"Wait- you're gay?" Marc questions cautiously. I just nod, I'm caught by surprise when he jumps up and hugs me
"I'm glad you- or rather Sam- could tell me. Crap! I have to go meet up with Ashley! Sorry." He says as he jumps up and runs away

"Well now he knows." Sam says

"Yeah, but he's cool with it."

I walk in my front door greeting mum and Sarah as I walk in
"How was your day?" mum calls from the other room.
"Good, and yours?" I call back as she walks in.
"My day? My day was good, thank you." She says, I run up to my room and put my bag away and pulled out my phone, sending a quick text to Marc "hey Marc, please don't tell anyone what Sam told you today, especially not Ashley. Not yet atleased"
Sarah comes in my room as I put my phone away and asks me
"So got any guys on your mind?"

"Shh don't say it too loud, you know how mum and dad will react if they know." Our parents were a very religious couple, they would never accept me if they found out. Sarah closes my door. "You didn't answer my question."

"Yes, I might have a guy I've got my eye on, why?"

"Just curious." She gives me a wink and leaves my room. I go back downstairs to mum
"Hey I got an assignment in English today, we have to work in pairs for it."

"And I should trust that you're working with Samantha or Marcus?" She questioned

"Actually, the teacher chose the pairs, I'm with Josh, would it be alright if he comes over to work on the assignment some days?"

"Yeah I guess, but I'll tell you if we're busy."

"Okay, thank you mum."

"What do you have to do in this assignment?"

"We have to choose a movie and write a review about it."

"Alright sounds good, I have to go get dinner ready now, sorry."

"That's fine mum." With that my phone vibrated in my pocket, I pick it up and read the screen
Josh sent you a message
Hey David, it's Josh. I was just wondering what we're going to do with this English thing, like are you going to come over mine or am I going to go over yours or what?
I quickly send a text back
Hey Josh, I just asked my mum and she said it's alright if you come over mine for it, so whatever is best for you.
He sent back a message almost instantly
Alright cool, how about you come over here tomorrow afternoon? Is then alright? Uuhh, I gtg. I'll read your message later.
I sent back a message saying yes that's fine then went for a shower before Sarah could say anything. After my shower the rest of the day was just like yesterday, dinner then Netflix

Omgggh he's gonna go over Josh's house tomorrow :ooo
