Ever had a weird feeling in your tummy that something is going to go wrong? I've been feeling it since this morning when I started school. I sure hope i wasn't getting sick for the summer holidays in England even though it will still be cold compared to other parts of the world. Today is the second last day of school. I, Nina Nashville is currently day dreaming and looking at the clock waiting for the bell to ring after a long day at school.
After half an hour the bell finally rang and I quickly rushed out to she my lovely boyfriend Jake Austin, gotta admit he is pretty cute and it is obvious as he is the school hottest guy and I am just an ordinary girl who happened to catch the eye of Jake Austin ever since I started at Central London High.
"Hey Jake!' I said when I finally saw him with his bag around his shoulder. Every time I see him, it just feels like the first day when everything started. Even if its been after a year, I still feel the spark every time we touch and he is everything I could have wanted. "Wanna go get something to eat before heading home? I'm starving"
"Sure babe, that would be awesome!" he quickly stated. One of the reasons I believe that we were meant to be is that we do everything together except for classes though. We decided to both take different classes so we would get distracted with each other.
I got in his car and we went to the Intercontinental which was about a 20 minute drive. We parked the car and both walked into the dine holding hands. All the kids at Central London High usually hang out here so we practically know everybody from staff to waitresses and all the customers which were our classmates to be precise.
Jake and I sat down and order the usual, egg and bacon sandwich with apple juice. We had a lot in common actually , we like the same things, we go to the same place and we don't live that far from each other either. My parents know him as my neighbour but I have yet to introduce him as my boyfriend as I don't wont them worrying about me being with a guy 24/7.
While Jake and I, sat down talking about our summer plans and what we were going to do a group of our friends came in. Rosy, Celeste, Jack and Joe. As you probably guessed, we are all a couple. Jack and I, Rosy and Jack and lastly Celeste and Joe. We've been friends for a year now since I moved school. I gotta say but I've moved to a lot of different schools in the past and mostly its because of the fact that my parents just feel like moving me cause the education I was getting wasn't good enough for them. They wanted the best of the best for me.
"Yo man!" Jack and Joe said to Jake while doing there secret handshake. I swear these 17 years old guys acted that they were 7 years old. I turned around and invited to girls to come and sit with me. Rosy had been friends with me since we were 4 years old, we met at school and every school I went to she would ask her parents to follow me and I would also ask my parents to secretly convinced her parents too. We were so close that we ended up planing to go to the same university when we finished year 12 at London Elite University.
"So Rosy and Celeste, any plans tomorrow night? after the last day of school?" I asked. Already having a plan in mind that we should definitely have a sleepover to begin the summer.
"Surprisingly no, I've heard there's going to be a huge party that the year 12 graduates are going to throw but to be honest with you i don't want to be there, I find it quite boring and nothing more than a bunch of drunk people." Rosy answered first and Celeste whispered and said "It would also be a pain keeping these guys in check and make sure they get home safe so we better not"
Joe heard what Celeste stated and quickly turned around and said " Ouch babe!, I am offended that you said that! the guys and I were actually thinking of going, you don't have to come if you don't want to. Have a sleepover with the girls or whatever you girls do in your girly time"He rolled his eyes while Jake added "It is also the last day of school so I think it would be great to go!" Jack got involved and even said "Pleaseeeee" he even dragged the word longer.
Rosy, Celeste and I looked at each other and said at the same time "Fine" while I added " One rule though : don't call us in the middle of the night asking for a ride home, you guys better get your asses home by yourself"
Rosy and Celeste agreed while also saying " Girls night out! or should I say in? Its sleep over time babyyy!!"
While the girls were busy being happy and jumping around, I felt my bags buzzing so I looked at my phone and at the ID caller and saw mum's name and her photo on it. I quickly answered not wanting to here her complain when I got home.
The moment I picked up mum said excitedly " Darling!, when are you coming home? your dad and I have something exciting to tell you and we can't wait." I could hear my name humming agreeing with what she is saying in the background. They have never sound this happy since dad lost his job in the company last month due to the economy going down.
"Ohh, sounds exciting! Im at the Intercontinental right now, will be home in half an hour" Right as I ended the call with them, my dinner arrived and Jake and I started eating while the others order. When I was done, I told the guys that my mum called and wanted me home and that I would have to go.
"Do you want me to drive you home babe?" Jake asked while I quickly said "Nope, its okay.. I'm a big girl, I can handle walking home plus its only 10 minutes away." I didn't want to disturb him and pull him away from his friends so I said goodbye to everybody and began walking home.
I finally arrived at my doorstep and was surprised that the door open automatically by my parents and if I were to guess, they were probably staring outside the mirror at the side of the door waiting for me patiently to come home.
I hug them while saying " So what is it you would like to tell me?"
Dad clapped and rubbed his hand together and warned me " You might like to sit down to hear this exciting news Nina"
I ran to the couch, pull my legs up and sat comfortably then both mum and dad came and sat next to me and both said " WE ARE GOING TO AUSTRALIA!"
Going to Australia I thought? What the hell could they possibly be in Australia, England is perfectly fine here. I love my home. I don't want to move across the Indian ocean. This is absolutely ridiculous and crazy.
Dad continue and added " Remember how I lost my job at The LEN well my boss called and said they needed a operational manager in the branch in Australia and its a great opportunity for us" blah blah blah and that was the last thing I heard before I stormed up to my room.
