Grace's POV

I looked at Chris trying not to hurt his feelings. "Um... As cool as that sounds-" He cuts me off, "No, I get it she's your best friend, you guys want to talk about that girlie shit yeah yeah.. It's totally fine." He says, "Chris I-" I start, "Grace. It's fine I'll go be a badass by myself!" He says cheerily, I and Sam laugh at him.

We watched as Chris walked away, but then he turns around. He looks in his pocket and pulls out a key.

"You'll need this to get in the cable car station." He throws the key at Sam and she catches it. "Why is it locked in the first place?" She asks, Chris shrugs, "Josh said he found people sleeping in there before." Chris says, "Creepy." I say getting the chills all over again. "Yeah, well make sure you guys tell me when the car is here." He says walking again.

"Okay." Sam says, as she walks to open the door. I waited for her to open the door, when my phone buzzed. It was a text from Josh.

My heart fluttered at the sight of his name.

I opened up the text.

Josh: Are u and mike here yet?

Grace: Yeah, but he went to go see something or someone ;)

Oh shit, I sent a winky face too him. I didn't mean it towards him. He's going to think it's towards him. He's going to think I'm desperate. Ugh, way too go Grace.

"Who ya talking to?" Sam says, after she opened the door. "Um.." I say, she knew I had a crush on him. But still I get shy whenever someone brings him up and I was pretty convinced Josh had a thing for Sam. I mean who wouldn't? She's smart, pretty, funny, nice.

Hell, I would date her but I like boys. And one of those boy is Josh.

"Grace, I know it's Josh no need to get all shy about it." She says sitting on the bench. I follow her and sit next to her. "Uh.. I'm sorry, it's just... I really like him and you know I do it's.. I don't know..." My voice strays down.

"It's what?" She says, I look at her, she's my best friend I should be completely open with her.

"I think Josh likes you." I blurt out she shakes her head and cracks a smile. "Trust me he doesn't." I raise an eyebrow at her, "How are you so sure?" I ask. She looks at me, "He doesn't. And even if he did it wouldn't matter, I don't like him that." She states, I shrug. "Yeah, well I guess you're right." I say, she smiles. She looks out to where the mountains are and looks at me.

"Doesn't the mountains looks so beautiful at night?..." Sam trails off.

Aidan's POV

"And dude she sent me a winky face," Josh said, I rolled my eyes. He was talking about his text conversation with Grace which I could care less about. I mean I like Grace and I hope Josh and her somehow get together, but it's her brother that just makes me.... You know what I don't even want to talk about it.

"You hear from Sam?" I ask hopefully, he shrugs, "She hasn't texted me back, but she's probably with Grace." He responds back, we walk the trail to see Ashley sitting on the stairs and Matt standing there looking irritated.

"Hey guys, you get up here okay?" Josh asked them, Matt didn't respond but Ashley did for the both of them.

"Yeah! More or less.. But it's so good to see you guys." Ashley says, I give Ash a warm smile before following Josh up the stairs.

He tried the door, but it wasn't seeming to open. "Dammit! This freaking door," Josh exclaimed, I looked at him. "What's up?" I ask, "The lock is frozen." He tells me, "Well there's got to be another way in." I tell him, he looks at me. "There's thousands of ways in, they are just locked." He scoffs, I sigh.

"Can't we like I don't know, jump in a window or something?" A voice behind us says, we turn around to see Matt.

We looked at him confused, "Yeah.. Uh.. I overheard you guys and I want to help.." He says, Josh looks at me but then his phone dings.

He pulls it out and reads the text out loud. "It's from Chris, they just got off the cable car. I should go down there."

"Is Sam with him?" I said, and realizing I sounded extremely desperate. Josh eyes me weirdly.

"He didn't say... Why do you even care so much?" Josh asked me curiously. I blush and quickly come up with lie, "Because me and her were suppose to talk about something but we never had the time too.." I say scratching my neck.

"Yeah, I've heard that one before." Matt whispers to himself, Josh starts laughing. "You got something you want to tell me Aidybear?" He says, raising an eyebrow.
