Creatures of the Night

I ran through the woods painting trying hard to keep myself together. "Aria please help!" I heard Scott yell. All I saw were the blurriness of trees as I zoomed passed. "Scott where are you?" I screamed trying to catch my alpha brothers scent. "Here aria here please help!" This time it was stiles who was screaming. I finally came to a cliff where below me was a rushing river that seemed to go faster everytime crumbling rock fell in. I took a deep breath and turned my attention to a circle of trees sat. Strapped to each tree was one of my friends. "Guys!" I yelled running towards them only to be held back. "Only one you can only save one," I heard a voice say. I tried to get to them again. "You can only choose one!" The voice yelled. "I can't they're all my friends!" I yelled back tears now flowing freely. "Then we choose!" the voice began to kill them one by one till I was the only one left. All around me lay blood and the remains of my dead friends. Scott had a little life left in him so he weakly looked up at me," this is all your fault you should of just choosen."
          I sat up gasping for air. I felt my face only to find I had been crying. "Aria you okay?" Liam asked sitting up next to me. I switched on my lamp next to my bed and rested my head in my hands. "Aria what happened?"Liam asked again worried and looking around. "It's...it's nothing I'm..I'm okay," I said trying to sound strong only to end up crying harder. Liam grabbed me and pulled me close to him. I buried my face in his chest and he began to rub circles in my back. "It's okay I'm here aria I'm here," he said kissing the top of my head. I pulled away and looked at him. "I love you Liam," I said kissing him. "I love you too now let's go back to sleep," Liam retorted kissing me. Liam laid back down and was soon out. I switched off my light and rested my head on Liam's chest.
"Aria hey it's time to wake up," Liam said as he soft shook me. I let out a small groan and opened my eyes. "I don't wanna," I told him stretching my arm around his waist cuddling in deeper. Liam let out a small chuckle and kissed the top of my head. "I know but you have to Lydia will be here soon," Liam said sitting up. I slowly climbed out of bed and made my way to my closet. I changed out of my black shorts and blue tank top into a purple tank top black shorts and a black leather jacket. I then made my way across my room to the rest room where I brushed my teeth and hair. I took a shower and straightened my hair last night so I didn't have to this morning. I gasped when I finally noticed the whole underneath of my hair was purple. "Great more of my hairs purple," I told Liam once I got back to my room. Liam was already up and dressed and putting his shoes on. Liam wore a white short sleeve shirt and black jeans with a white and red jacket. He looked at me and pulled something out of his overnight bag he had left here. Slowly he made his way across the room. He stopped once he got to me and took my hands. He placed a small blue box in my palms and stepped back. I raised an eyebrow and opened it. Inside was a silver heart medium sized silver necklace on a silver chain. "It's beautiful," I told him holding the necklace between my fingers. "Thanks Scott helped me pick it out," Liam said taking the necklace from me and placing it around my neck. I held it and looked at it one more time before letting it drop. "I'm glad you like it," Liam said kissing me one more time. I heard a horn outside and knew instantly it was Lydia. "I'll see you later," I told him as I grabbed my purse and phone from the top of my dresser.
           "It looks so good on you," Lydia beamed. Over the summer parts of my hair had started turning purple so Lydia and I decided to go with it. We dyed the top portion of my hair black and everything else purple with a few black strands here and there. "I love it," I said happily. So far today Lydia and I had bought all kinds of new clothes got my belly button pierced and went makeup shopping. "I swear I love our shopping sprees," Lydia said linking her arm with mine as we headed for her car.
        When Lydia dropped me off it was a little after eight. I quickly raced up the stairs to my room and began to put all of my new stuff away. I changed out of my shorts and into a pair of black skinny jeans. I kept the purple tank top on. Once everything was put away I laid down.
       I heard Scott come in a little after midnight but I ignored it cause I figured he wasn't staying long. After awhile I felt the whole house shake and then Scott exit out the back door. Something felt wrong and no matter what I did I couldn't shake it. Rain poured down outside and thunder cracked. The loud pounding on the roof of the house sent my senses into overdrive. I felt my phone vibrate from the bed next to me. "Hello?" I asked confused. "Aria hey look I heard your mom and the sheriff talking at the hospital and I think Scott's in trouble can you get to the school?" Liam asked worry clear in his voice. "Yea I'm on my way," i told him jumping out of my bed. I quickly pulled on a pair of black ankle boots and my black Leather jacket. I grabbed my phone and raced out of my house. I didn't bother taking my car since I knew it would faster to get to Scott if I ran. I got his scent and followed it all the way to and underpasses by the school entrance.
         Once I got there I saw Scott and Kira getting attacked a large werewolf looking man with black blood dripping down his face. Kira attacked him with her sword only to be thrown back. Scott then attacked only to be attacked And thrown against the wall. "No!" I yelled as I ran towards the mysterious man. I ran at him jumped and kicked him in the stomach. I moved my arms in a circle forming a ball of energy and shot it at him. It had no affect. He grabbed my by the throat and began to squeeze. "You're very strong...but not strong enough be greatful you aren't the one I want," he said in a low voice. I struggled to gasp for air and everything became blurry. I turned my face  and saw through the ran another man I didn't recognize. He was wolfed out and didn't look much older than me. He attacked the man and I fell to the ground. There were black spots all through my vision. I felt Kira grab my arm and pull me back. "Are you alright," Kira asked holding her side. "Yea I'm okay," I told her just as the mysterious wolf boy went flying at the wall behind me. The mysterious man grabbed Scott and let out his claws. They began to glow a strange shade of blue and he stabbed them into Scott's chest. Scott grew weaker and weaker and his eyes went from red back to their normal shade. Scott's knees hit the floor and it was like all of his energy was gone. I saw stiles, Malia and Liam run in through the rain. Liam began to wolf out and the mysterious man next to me looked back. The man stood up and helped Kira and I up. Kira gripped her sword ready to attack. Scott seemed to be growing weaker I thought he was going to die. Fear ran through me and I wanted to save him. Scott grabbed the mans claws and started regaining his strength. Scott got back to his feet and broke the mans arm causing him to hit his knees. The man howled in pain as black blood oozed from his arm. Scott looked at him everyone else bracing for attack. "I don't know who you are or what you thought you were gonna do but I'll give you a choice you can stay and I'll break something else or you can run," Scott said remaining calm. The rain continued to fall as the man thought about his options. The man looked back at stiles. "I'd run," stiles told the man. Weakly the man got to his knees and took off. Liam and Scott returned to normal and everyone met in a circle. Liam grabbed my hand and pulled me close to him. Kira got close to Scott as everyone turned their attention to the unknown werewolf who had just attempted to save us. He gave a half smile and walked towards us. He wore a black jacket with a black t shirt and black jeans. He was pretty attractive but something told me not to trust him. "You don't remember me do you?" He asked as he inched closer,"I guess I look a little different since the fourth grade." Scott and stiles looked confused. "Theo?" Scott asked after a moment of realization. They nodded and gave a half smile. "Wait you know him?" I asked confused. Scott looked at me and nodded. "They use to," Theo said," trust me I never thought I'd see you guys again." Stiles looked at him uneasily. "A couple of months ago I heard of an alpha in beacon hills when I found out his name was Scott McCall just couldn't believe it." Scott listened but I could tell he didn't trust him. No one really did. Liam squeezed my hand as we continued to listen to Theo. "not just an alpha but a true alpha l," Theo spoke again. Scott swallowed then looked down and back up,"what do you want?" "I moved back to beacon hills back home with my family because I wanna be apart of your pack," Theo continued. I felt Liam tense at his comment. Before anyone had a chance to say anything Theo left. Scott returned his attention to the group and shook his head. I eyed Stiles giving him the we need to talk look. He caught my eye and nodded. "Liam why don't you and Aria head home that way I know you're both safe," Scott said hugging me. I nodded. "Thank you for having my back," Scott said sincerely. "You're my brother Scott I'll always have your back now go have fun at your senior scribe I'll see you at home," I told him as Liam and I walked away. I tried to push it down but the feeling I felt inside kept eating away at me something about this whole thing just didn't sit right with me.
