Lost Sons (a Kid Icarus Fanfiction)

The forgotten memory.

The skies started to clear up as Pit flew in happily. "WE DID IT!" He shouted as he ran into throne room, Palutena was standing there with a smile. "WE DEFEATED HADES!" Pit jumped onto her as he gave her a bear hug. Palutena laughed at his reaction. "Yes we did" she said happily "And now light could be finally be restored". Pit was smiling widely "We should celebrate this glorious day!" He said excitedly. "And we shall." Palutena was smiling, and all around the palace was running around , preparing for the party of the century. The cooks were making snacks, sweets and cakes. The garden was being decorated and a invent action was send out to every angel in Sky world. Everybody was excited and happy over the party, especial Pit. Palutena was smiling, well, looked like it, it looked more like something was bothering her. But she didn't let it show it show.

The time of the party arrived, and everybody came wearing the best they had. Palutena came in with a large smile and everybody cheered for the goddess. "You hear that, Palutena?" Said Pit, who was beside her "The angels are cheering for their Goddess of Light" he said cheerfully. Palutena turned to him and nodded with a smile, and the party contineud. Palutena didn't talk much during the party, and it caused Pit to worry , he quickly went to her. "Excuse me, Lady Palutena? " . Palutena turned to him with the same smile she had on the whole day. "Yes, pit?" She said with a sweet tone. "Um, you seemed bothered, Lady Palutena" began Pit "is there something wrong with the party? Aren't you enjoying it?" He sounded worried. Palutena was a bit surprised by the question, she was quiet for a moment but then snapped out of it, "Y-yes, everything is fine" she said nervously, she cleared her throat and yawned " I-I think I'll be going to my room, I'm a bit tired" and with that, she went to her room. Pit raised a eyebrow and returned to the party.

Palutena was in her room, sitting on her bed. But something changed about her, he smile disappeared and looked down. She letted out a sigh, and stood up. She went to her closet and opens it . She pushed the clothing aside and revealed a lock. She pulled out a key from her hidden pocket and opens it. She pulls out , what it seems, a photo book. She walked back to her bed and flips it open. There pictures of her and pit, but she flipped all the way to the back. She grabbed a pair of scissors from her drawer and cutted something open from the back, it seemed to be a hidden pocket. She pulls out a hidden photo. She felt her eyes sting with tears, she looked at the picture and felt tears dripping down her face as she looked at the picture, she sighs and putted the picture down on her night desk and closed the book.
In the picture that she putted down, was Palutena. She was in her bed, in her nightgown, with tears stains on her cheek and looking like a complete mess! But in her arms were two baby children, they both were pale and had green and red hair. One was wrapped in a white blanket and the other was in in a black blanket. Palutena was holding the babies close to her, and she was smiling and her eyes were sparkling ,full of joy and happiness. But in the background was a smiling shadow that belonged to...

...Hades.
