<Oliver>

It was another boring day at home. I was sitting on my bed, reading Oliver Twist.

This is a terrible representation of Olivers worldwide. I thought to myself, but continued reading nonetheless. I sighed and turned a melancholy page, revealing another sheet of bland, unmoving words. Suddenly, a knock on the door woke me from my blindfolded daze. 'I'll get it!' I yelled. I really didn't want to read, but I had nothing better to do. I dashed downstairs.

Panting, I looked through the peephole. Hehe. Peephole. I liked that word. Outside stood a girl with shoulder-length green hair. I happily opened that door.

"Gumi!" I exclaimed. "What are you doing here? And... Well... How do you know where I live?"

Gumi laughed. "That's not important. I'm bored, and wanted to know if you wanted to come to the park with me?"

"Oh! Uh.." I didn't really know Gumi very much, but she was a nice person. I spoke to her sometimes at school. I didn't really have any need to be afraid. Plus, if i declined, I would have to go back to that horrifyingly incorrect novel. I wondered why she asked me, though. She was pretty popular at school. Maybe all of her friends were busy or something.

"Yeah, of course!" I replied. I turned around and yelled, "Mum! Dad! I'm going out with a friend!"

A tired grunt sounded out from the living room. "Of course, dear. Be back by suppertime." A more proper sounding voice replied a while later, after scolding my father thoroughly.

I stepped outside and closed the door behind me. Gumi grinned. "Great!" She giggled and began walking in the direction of the town park. A few steps later, she turned and nodded, motioning for me to follow.

"So, why did you come to my house? You've got a lot of friends." I asked after a long period of silence.

Gumi pointed ahead. "Look! An ice cream truck! You're not exactly the most ice-cream obsessed person out there, but do you want to get some?"

I shrugged. "Yeah, sure."

Once we reached the park, Gumi flopped down on a bench and patted the empty spot beside her. I sat down politely and licked away at my carrot flavored-ice cream. I totally regretted allowing Gumi to pick out the flavor.

Gumi finished her ice cream and stood up. "I'm going to the bathroom to wash my hands, wanna come with?" She asked. My face flushed bright red, and I stumbled to reply.

"Oh yeah... Just stand outside, then."

I have no idea why I obliged. Before I could even ask myself why, I was already standing outside the girl's public restroom, running my fingers through my hair, trying to look cool. To others, it probably looked like I was waiting for my mother or something.

The door creaked open. As if on cue, my face turned as red as a beet. I began to go through all the consequences of the girl coming out not being Gumi. Luckily, I didn't have to go through any of them as I caught a glimpse of bright green hair. I was pretty sure that no one else had green hair around here.

A pair of shy forest green eyes flicked around, as if looking to see if anyone else were around. Suddenly, a thin arm reached out and pulled me into the bathroom. I yelped, which must have sounded quite strange, with my slight British accent.

I twitched and squirmed. I was a good boy. I would never go into the girl's bathroom. So why was I here? Gumi's face was hard and cold, and immediately, I had some of the weirdest things going through my head. Gumi locked the bathroom door, although I had no idea how. I gulped and ran into a stall, and emerged holding a plunger.
