A small pink haired girl was seen walking down the hallway of her own home. At the time, that's what she called it; home... She hadn't a single clue what her future looked like.
The pink haired girl walked into the kitchen, to see her mother making breakfast for the two. "Good morning Mama..." the small girl said, looking up at her mother. "Good morning, Crona. Did you sleep well?" Crona's mother asked, not bothering to make eye contact. Crona nodded slowly, as she made her way to the kitchen table. "Yes mother... I... I had a good sleep... H-how are you feeling today?" Crona asked, concern lined in her voice. "What?" Medusa asked, finally looking away from the food she was cooking on the stove, looking at her daughter. "You're all beaten up Mama... was it that man again?" Crona asked innocently, unaware of what Medusa was really up to. "That's none of your concern, Crona. Not now, anyways. Forget about that, I've made us breakfast." Medusa said, changing the subject quickly. Medusa turned to grab what she had made for breakfast, and set everything neatly on the table. Once she finished, the two ate in silence.

~Crona's POV~
"Mama...? Where are you going?" I asked, looking down at my feet, then back up at my mother. She looked down at me. "I'm going out tonight, Crona, just like last weekend. I won't be back until tomorrow evening, or maybe later. I'll bring you back something nice, I promise." Medusa said, a rather large smile on her face. 'Something... nice?' I thought to myself. I seen her begin to walk out the door, I quickly followed her, hugging her leg, stopping her in her tracks. "Mama, why do you always have to go? I don't want you to go... being left alone in this place makes me scared... I don't know how to deal with being alone..." I cried, grasping my mother's leg tighter. Medusa sighed deeply, then bent over to pick me up. She brought me into a gentle embrace. "Do not worry, Crona, soon, once I come back, you won't be alone anymore... even on days when I have to go out, you will never be left alone again..." she said in a somewhat soothing voice. She put me down. "Now I must leave, don't worry my child, I'll be back." Medusa said, turning her back. "I love you, Crona." She said, as the door began closing behind her. "I love you too Mama..." I quickly said before the door shut behind her.
I looked down as the door had finally shut. I was alone...

~Medusa's POV~
I walked down the streets of the abandoned homes just outside of Death City. I made my way to my research lab, not too far from my own home. Tonight was the night I would finally create Black Blood...

~Crona's POV~
It was early in the morning, and my mother still hadn't come back home. I was so worried, and afraid. 'What if something happened to mama...?' I thought frantically. My head snapped up as I heard a noise come from the front of the house. "Crona, I'm home." Medusa said in a sing-song type voice. "Mama!" I cried, running up to her. I stopped in my tracks as I noticed, she was holding a silver briefcase with Vector Arrows on it. "...Mama? What's that...?" I asked quietly. Medusa smiled. "What I have inside this case is something that will keep you company." She said, not really explaining what she meant. "Oh..." I muttered. "Crona? I need you to come with me now." Medusa said, grabbing my hand rather tightly. She lead me down into the basement, where Medusa kept her science equipment. She laid the silver briefcase down on the table, then lifted me up, beside the case. 'What's going on...?' I thought, fear filling my mind. "Crona, today is the day you make a friend..." Medusa said, a wicked grin upon her face. "A friend? Really?" I asked, a smile of innocence taking over my features. "Yes, a friend. But in order for this to work, I have to remove all your red blood and replace it with my new creation; black blood..." Medusa said, opening up the briefcase. My smile instantly disappeared. "B-but... I don't know how to deal with giant needles... Mama, I don't wanna make a friend this way...! Please don't hurt me...!" I whimpered, tears trickling down my sickly pale cheeks. "Don't worry Crona, this won't take me long at all..." Medusa chimed, a sick smile on her face. She started to remove my real blood. It took her a minute to do so. But she had to act quickly, I had just lost all my real blood. I looked blue. Medusa quickly stabbed a giant needle into my arm, and injected the black blood inside my whole body. I felt different. Entirely different. I didn't feel normal anymore... I felt... sick.
"Mother..." I whined, my vision losing focus. Medusa chuckled. "Crona, don't call me 'Mother', anymore, from now on, you will refer to me as Lady Medusa, do you understand me?" She questioned. "Yes... Lady Medusa..." I responded in a monotone voice, my eyes turning Gray.
This was the beginning of the end of my true happiness. The days went by, and things only got worse from there. I wasn't allowed to leave the house, or see the outside world anymore. The kindhearted mother I once knew had vanished... Or so I thought.

"Here, I want you to take care of this creature for a month. If you treat it well, you can keep it." Medusa said, handing said creature to me, then walking away. 'A bunny...?' I thought to myself. Just then, a black creature protruded from my spine. "Can I eat it?" The black creature asked. "No Ragnarok... We have to take care of it... and if I take care of it well, Lady Medusa said I could keep it..." I said, sad, yet hopeful joy in my voice.

A month had passed, and I made sure I took care of the soft bunny. I had bonded with the small creature.
Medusa walked into my room, and grabbed the bunny out of its cage. "Come." Medusa commanded. I obeyed immediately, following Medusa closely.
Medusa lead me into a white room, and placed the bunny down on the ground. "Now, Crona, kill it." Medusa said simply. "W-what?!" I raised my voice. "N-no! I can't do it! I can't turn my back on something that trusts me!" I cried, tears running freely down my face. "Please don't make me do this...!" I begged. Medusa kept a straight face. "I see... come with me." She said, and once again, I obeyed. She lead me into a dark room. "You're a bad child, I want you out of my sight. You're going to be locked in here for a long long time, so get used to it." Medusa scolded. "It's too dark in here! Please pick another punishment! It's too dark and I can't see anything!" The door started to close on its own. 'No...' I thought to myself. The door closed, then made a locking sound. I quietly cried in a corner of the room. "It's too dark in here... I don't know how to deal with darkness..." I sobbed weakly. "Dammit Crona! Look what you did!" Ragnarok yelled at me. "No Ragnarok!" I pleaded, not wanting to get beaten up. But Ragnarok started throwing heavy punches at me, and pulled at my face. "That hurts! Quit it! You're always picking on me and it's not nice!" I whined. "Deal with it, shrimp!" Ragnarok said loudly, continuing to beat me up.

-Days later-

I heard the door unlock. My head snapped up. "You can come out now." Medusa said. I instantly got up, running towards my mother. "Please make Ragnarok stop beating me up! It hurts and I don't like it!" I cried. Medusa turned, and walked in the same direction as that white room. "Come with me Crona. You will defeat it this time." She said. I gasped. "I-I can't do it..." I said slowly. Medusa stopped walking. "...Vector Plate." She hissed, a black arrow appearing underneath me, sending me flying back into the dark room. "You can stay out of my sight a little longer." She said, the door closing, then locking itself.
"Crona you complete idiot!!" Ragnarok screeched. Once again, I got a beating from my friend. "Ragnarok stop! I can feel my nose bleeding!" I cried. But he didn't stop...
A few days passed, and finally, the door unlocked. "This is getting you nowhere, Crona." Medusa said as the door opened. I was completely numb. I giggled. "Did you know my blood is black?" I asked, looking up at Medusa with a large grin. There was dried up black blood on my face. I walked out of the room with my head down, and headed into the white room, where my bunny sat, shivering in fear. I had a wicked smile upon my face. Ragnarok popped out of my back as well, he had an insane grin too. 'Ragnarok and I are best friends...' I thought to myself, and Ragnarok turned into a black blooded sword. I lashed out, ending the poor creature's life.

'I'm scarred now, unable to get over what I had done. But at that time, I felt a little insane... but that's impossible... I'm not insane... am I...?' I questioned myself. Not expecting a response.
