I bite the bottom of my lip as I shut close the cab door and I head over back to 221B. I swing open the door and rush up the stairs, I then, heard rushing footsteps and I open the door. I look around and I watch Sherlock walk back and forth near the fireplace.
I tilt my head to one side and I grab his wrist, making him stop,
"Sherlock, what is it?"He looks over at me, confusion filled his eyes,
"Hmm?"I glare at him and showed the text message on my phone,
"The emergency, Sherlock!""Ah, yes."
Sherlock spin on the spot and he pointed to an empty space,
"My skull. Did you take it?""I- . . Your skull?"
"Yes, my skull. Didn't you hear me?"
I pinch the bridge of my nose and I sigh heavily,
"Sherlock, this isn't the time for jokes.""This isn't a joke. This is an emergency."
He protested, glaring at me. I glared at him back, annoyed."Alright, fine. Where was the last time you seen it?"
"When you were here."
I take a short glimpse around and I scratch the back of my head, sighing. I look up back at Sherlock and shrug. He took a longer look around, his eyes moving all over he place. He inhales sharply as he noticed something white, pinned down with a knife. He pulls the knife out and takes the white object from where it was,
"Paper? Does it say anything?"
I stand on my tippy-toes and look over his shoulder, trying to see what was on the paper." 'Try to be smart, Sherlly. Skull is hiding. Somewhere, but where?' "
Sherlock quoted from the paper and he handed it to me it, I grab it gently and I read it for myself.I look up from the paper and I hand it back to the detective,
"What do you think it means?"Sherlock folds the paper and puts it in his pocket of his pants, his hands now, clapped together and he rested his chin on his fingertips,
"I don't know, Y/N. I'm trying to figure that out now.""Maybe someone stole it?"
"Obviously."
I hate it when he does that, obviously, obviously, obviously. But, now isn't the time to argue. I shake my head from my thoughts and sigh, closing my eyes.
Sherlock clicked his tongue, which made me open my eyes, I smile, raising my brow,
"Did you figure it out?""Who were your recently boyfriends?"
Sherlock avoided eye contact with me, instead, his eyes were glued to the ceiling, no facial expression showed."I never had one."
"Scratch that idea."
Sherlock ran his hand grew his hair and he sighed heavily,"What?"
I squint my eyes, a bit confused of what the man said."I figured that maybe one of your recent boyfriends, ex of course, stole it and left the note. Of course, you don't have any. So that makes it a bit difficult for me to figure out who might of stole my skull."
I roll my eyes and I put my hands in my pocket of my jeans, he stares at me, turning towards the door of his flat,
"Some people asked me if you and I are . . ."His voice trailed off and I finished his sentence,
"Dating?"He nodded. There was awkward silence, and then Sherlock slipped on his coat and turned up the collar, sliding his hands in the pockets.
"Tea?"I shrug and nod, the corners of my lips rising upwards, forming into a small smile. Sherlock starts going down the stairs and I follow behind him. He walks out of 221B and I slip out the door before it closes by itself. He starts heading down he streets and I catch up with him, looking straight ahead. 221B Baker Street, father away. The tea seeming closer, whilst the crime seemed more difficult then you thought.
