SO STRONG IS THIS LOVE

Never can anyone truly explain the meaning of exquisite, all encompassing, breath taking love, to someone who has never been a Grandmother. I always love when someone I know tells me they are going to be a Grandparent for the first time. Even though I know I cannot find the words to describe the feeling, I always ask them to tell me what it is like for them.
The first sight of their precious blessing. The first sound of them crying or cooing. But the most incredible of moments is being handed this child, this infant, who is the child of your own child. The love that bursts from your heart as your hold and Cherish this little miracle of God, and the realization that they are a part of you. Another chapter to the story of your life. And the love is so overwhelming it's hard to breathe. And your are never, ever the same again. And this is another of Gods blessings. For so strong is this love.
And all of a sudden we are able to be redefined as who we are. We are now mother, grandmother, and forever a protector of this tiny new life. This is when I feel God says, "This is your precious gift from me". Never forget these emotions, and as they grow, so does this indescribable love and commitment. And in this blessing, if God finds us deserving, is the chance to redefine the relationship with your daughter. For so strong is this love.
