I was brought to land by  a helicopter . The firefighters thought it was to risky for my to walk back over. I could have . I watched as they pulled my mother out of the bone chilling mid-winter waters . Her skin was blue . Her lips dark purple and she started to cough and gasp . She wasn't dead ! I ran to her side and looked at her . She glared at me . "You did this to me , bitch !" It was barley a whisper but it was enough for me to hear . The paramedics rushed her off as I stood their shocked . 

This is all my fault ! I did this If only I didn't have to get away from her fakness. She wouldn't be like this it's all  My fault ! It was all my fault ! 

My mother's words replayed in my mind "You did this to me , bitch !" I let out a tiny gasp as my uncle grabbed my frozen shoulder . I let out a little scream as he hugged me . I didn't want anybody to touch me ! I shivered in his arms and he pulled me closer . 

I pushed him away and ran towards the water . I'm going to just end this now ! I went to jump and was caught mid-air by a boy around my age . He flung me back onto the snow near a tree and laid on top of me pining me to the ground . I had never seen him before but he looked friendly . Except for the fact that he was laying on me . I tried to push him off but he wouldn't budge . I let out a slight scream and he put his finger to his  moist  pink  lips . 

"What your mother said , It's not true ! You know that she shouldn't have been down here by the water or on that old dock and she knew it too !" His breath was minty as I watched him move his hands as he talked . He looked me in the eye and I felt naked . 

"No , It is my fault ! I should have known she would have tried to put on a show " I looked down and pulled my sweater to cover an exposed bruise . He watched as I did it and then looked over toward the ambulance pulling away .  

"Did she ever ... tell you she loved you ? " I shook my head right away . She never loved me not once a day in her or my life ! He stood up as a tall man in a fire fighter suite came over to us . He looked between us and then smiled . 

"Hi , you must be ....Av, ril ?" He stopped and grabbed the boy by his shoulder and hugged him . He put him in a head lock and the gave him a nuggie .I tried to smiled and nod but all I could manage was a half whimper . 

"Um, well your uncle said he could take you for a while until your mother is better . They think she might have just gotten hypothermia !" I nodded and walked up to the house with them . The man introduced himself as Todd to my uncle and the boy as his little brother Zack . My uncle nodded and thanked him . He told Todd and Zack that he would be taking me to Texas with him and I would start school as soon as we got there . I couldn't believe it ! School ! Really !!? Uggg!
