"Your hair is getting longer," Sooyoon attempted to make small talk.

"And?"

The blonde shrugged and sighed in frustration, "I dunno, it's just different."

Moon's hair was usually pretty short. She tended to keep it just below her shoulders, but it had grown way passed that, simply because she never really got around to going to the salon.

It was silent between the two after that, until Sooyoon opened her mouth to say something, contemplating, before closing her mouth again and sighing. She took a sip of her hazel nut sugar filled coffee before staring out into the distance, most likely trying to come up with another topic of small talk.

It was lunch, and it was Sooyoon's idea to go to the near by coffee shop to spend their 30 minute break. Not that Moon was opposed to it, she actually rather favoured coffee, it was more of, that she knew her friend isn't exactly a fan of coffee. She saw it as bitter tasting and gross - which was understandable because this girl had the most unbelievable sweet tooth, it was almost inhuman. But, why did she want to go to a coffee shop if she disliked coffee? It wasn't often that the blonde wanted to try something new.

Moon's train of thought crashed when she heard the bells of the door, signalling that someone had walked into the shop; she turned her attention toward who had entered and immediately wished she hadn't.

It was the guy from earlier. The handsome one. The one who saved her from her fall at the train station.

Moon immediately snapped her head back to Sooyoon, hoping to god he didn't recognise her. Why? Because it was embarrassing, tripping over air. He was pretty nice about it in the moment, but you never know what people think about in their heads.

Unfortunately Sooyoon noticed her sudden distress and raised an eyebrow at her friend.

"You okay?" she questioned, eyes looking up at the man who just walked in, then back to Moonchul, with a small smirk.

"Hey, he's pretty hot," the blonde mused teasingly. Moon shook her head and rolled her eyes to her friends comment, "Don't get any ideas."

She sighed, resting her chin in her hand, closing her eyes for a brief moment. She was exhausted. Maybe she'd just skip the rest of her classes. But Sooyoon would never let her...she'd go on lecturing Moon about how Moon's parents paid for this, and if she skipped she'd be waisting their money. She heard it before when she had almost backed out of going to college all together.

A pair of voices brought her out of her daze. Sooyoon's and...a deep voice she didn't recognise. A voice that gave her butterflies in her stomach. They danced around without Moon's permission. That was unacceptable.

She looked up at the two voices and panic set in.

Sooyoon was talking to Mr. Handsome. Shit.

"What?"

Sooyoon looked up to Moon, "Oh! I was just talking to, James, here," she didn't miss the teasing tone in her friends voice.

Moon looked up at the man she had run into, James, and gave him a slight wave.

"This is Moonchul," Sooyoon introduced.

---

They talked for the next fifteen minutes - well, Sooyoon and James did. Moon just sat there watching the two, only putting in her two cents when Sooyoon looked like she was expecting something out of her. When it was finally time to head back to campus, Sooyoon wouldn't shut up about James.

"He's a really nice guy! I think you two should hook up," the blonde mused.

Hook up? What the hell was she talking about?

"No," Moon sighed. This was Sooyoon, always trying to set her up with guys she didn't know. But Moon had to admit, this James fellow was pretty handsome, and nice.

Her friend frowned, "Why not?" She whined. Moon shook her head.

"Because I've told you, I'm not looking for a relationship right now," She crossed her arms over her chest and sighed in frustration, "Let's get back to campus...class starts soon."

The rest of their walk back was filled with silence. Moon could tell that her friend was at a loss of words. Usually, they'd be laughing about something dumb, and Moon would have taken up the offer on hooking up with James, and then she'd go home to tell all of the day's events to Richard...

She tried to steer away from those thoughts. They were too painful, and she still wasn't ready to admit to herself of what really happened that day. Moon didn't think she'd ever be ready.

Once back on campus, she and Sooyoon parted ways, as they had different classes this hour. Moon walked by herself, her only thought keeping her from skipping class being that she only had two more hours. Two more and she'd be done for the day. Two more and she could lock herself away in her small apartment full of nothing but bittersweet memories. Pictures, pillows, birthday cards and a guitar that hadn't been played in a year...

Moon was brought out from her dark thoughts back into reality when she heard a familiar voice that she had heard but only two times. It was tall, dark, and handsome. Well - she didn't know about the dark part, but definitely tall and handsome.

"Hey! Moonchul was it?" he greeted.

Moon didn't know what to say. Her initial thought was, he goes here? But then realised it was a stupid question because of course he went here. The only college in the area. Her second though was questioning why he even bothered to remember her name, even if it was only a few minutes ago that he had been introduced to the brunette.

"Sooyoon mentioned something about how you had History class next, and I do too!" He smiled.

Ah, yeah...something like that was said wasn't it?

James continued, "So I thought we could walk there, together," he put another awkward smile on his lips. Moon began to notice fairly quickly that this boy was very awkward naturally...if that made sense.
